0 Subject: So.... Rotoguru people come from?

Posted by: promize

Not to be nosey, but I was sort of curious on the type of people and where they come from that play fantasy sports. I've noticed Italy, Canada, US of course... I've had some emails from other countries within Smallworlds messaging service.

I'm from Missouri with a Georgia connection

I am from Lancaster PA, I was born in Lancaster City, then moved to Maytown, PA when I was 2, NOw I reside in Marietta PA which is 1 mile from Maytown, I still say Maytown Cause people in Marietta are "River Rats" Currently I am going to school at Shippensburg University in PA. I'm only here for another 22 days though then is back home, maybe to Harrisburg.

bluehen, where in Lancaster are you from, and do you come back at all.

APerfect10, I know where Willow Street is, about 25 minutes from me. I remember playing them in PeeWee football 10 years ago, and kicking some ACE. Both my parents graduated from McCaskey and I have 2 Cousins who go there now, although I graduated from Donegal as will my brother.

Matt G & Mike D, wow, nice to see a lot of people from Lancaster. Both myself and my best friend (Ike44) are also from Lancaster.

Mike, Buchmiller park is right on willow street pike between Lancaster City & Willow Street. It is less than a 5 minute drive from my place.

Matt, Donegal, eh? What year did you graduate. Me and Ike are friends with Jay DeSheilds, from playing basketball with/against him in high school.

I'm currently at State College, wrapping up my Junior year. I will be home in less than two weeks. If either of you two would like to meet sometime and maybe go out for a couple beers, that would be cool.

I know Blue Hen will visit Lancaster some day again, as soon as he can leave that company, whats it called? Oh yeah, ESPN.

Got family in Lancaster and used to hold my nose during the spring driving through the county on trips to Maryland.

Sweeet! Because of the drive, I split time at Buchmiller/Akron/Pinchot. Almost the same distances, Akron slightly further. Gurupie Shifty is a Lancaster local who plays Buchmille/Akron more times than I can count. I'm not too jealous. :(

And it was I who a couple of years back started that demographics poll. I still had the bookmark a couple of months back but recently deleted it...

APerfect10, yes I graduated with Jay DeShields(1998), he was in a bunch of my classes, we were ok friends, but I do know him and he knows me, I didn't play basketball with him, he was too good, my brother is better though... anyhow, I'll be home for good in 3 weeks and I'm definatly up for a few drinks, I go to Doc Holidays by F&M a lot as well as the Chameleon. I grew up in Park City as well, I have never seen Ike44 on here though, thats a shame. If anyone has AOL IM my name is "Kemics", im on 24/7 send me a message, I love chattin about sports, or anything really.

Baldwin, no way!

I think I have posted in a couple other Forums indicating I live in LaSalle. No one ever posts back that they even live in any of North Central IL. I started to feel like the Italians and Swedes had more gurupies than all of IL. I guess I forgot to post the info in the Politics Forum. And I thought you had indicated you were in Wisconsin.

I live on the east end of LaSalle, so you are probably more like 2 miles away. :)
