J, What's up with this? My banking trades strategy has banished me to AAA? You posted a thread aaking if teams were inactive and I responded but I guess that was just to avoid elimination. At 4,376 points I'm only 145 points short of the cutoff BUT I'm sitting on a pile of 15 pitcher trades!!! Even if I only average 50 points per start from those 15 trades I'll get another 750 points which would put me in the top 100 Guru rankings. Of course I'm not really mad since I know that my team is in way better shape than many of the teams in the majors that have blown all their trades and only have a few hundred more points than me. I guess I'll just have to get used to the idea of AAA until I start to use my trades to make up the difference. That is unless of course you reconsider and add me back in next time. In any event, thanks for continuing to put out the standings and like MacArthur, "I shall return." | |||||

I understand your point, Mr. Carey. In fact thats how I did things at the beginning of last season. But it became too much work trying to figure out who was better positioned. I'd look at roster value, trades and WWR of course. Its alot easier to just only use WWR. I fully expect to see you up there when it matters - September! The thread I posted was just to avoid getting totally eliminated. | |||||

No problem, Well being on AAA is no reason for me to burn trades so I think I'll just bank them for a few weeks and when I do make it back into the bigs I'll have a nice little war chest of trades to make a midseason run using the stretched Guru rotation or Randro or both. I miss being in the movers and shakers thread though, I'll have to start tracking my own stats there. See you in the bigs in early June perhaps. | |||||
