Subject: More questions for drafts

In general, how does Free agent pick ups work in leagues like this? Is it first come first serve? Say for example we got through a draft and then we all realize for some reason Jeff Bagwell was never picked up. Is it first to make the roster room and then post he wants Bagwell? |

i think it should be waiver priority, like in yahoo. It is the last person to draft has 1st priority and then it goes backwards in order. If a player is sitting out there for like a week then it is first come first serve. But if I waive someone that someone else thinks is good then you do reverse draft order. Just my thoughts.

one more thing i forgot to add. If someone dropped a player and the guy with waiver priority 1 takes that guy then he moves to the end of the list. Player 2 would move to 1 and one to 12. I hope that makes sense.

wiggs What if managerss 1, 2 and 3 pass on the available player and #4 takes him. #5 is next?

then i believe manager 4 would become manager 12 in priority, 1 2 and 3 would stay 1 2 and 3 and 5 -12 move up one spot.

In some leagues, the priority thing only comes into play when more than one team wants a player.

So a team would only move down to 12 if there was a tie.

Thats how yahoo works. It goes by priority. If you pick someone up off the waivers list you go down to the bottom of the priority list. The list is only used if more than one team is claiming him of course.
Note: If a team drops a player, he goes on waivers for two days. You can place a claim on him, and at the end of the two days whichever team with the highest priority gets him. (If only one team claims him, they get him of course.) If nobody claims him, he goes into the FA pool. The FA pool is first come first serve, and anyone listed as a FA you can sign immediately. No waiting, no priority list.
Hope that clears everything up.
