We've got an issue (no, its not about Dan).
Back when ksoze drafted Frank Thomas, me and Twarpy realized that Thomas was only in yahoo as a DH, and not a 1B. So, without really thinking about it, we switched the Util IF position to just a Util position.
Well, then there's Edgar Martinez, who I was excited to see out there and took in the 14th round.
Now, we need to discuss. Do we go back to using a Util IF spot, meaning KSoze is getting screwed out of a 9th round pick and I have to repick my 14th rd pick. Or to we just keep on truckin?
I want some honest opinions here, ksoze will be getting screwed worse than me here!!! |

yeah J, you suck!!!!!!!! ;-) hmmm Im not sure what we can do other than a straight util position. But that will hurt teams that drafted a guy for the IF Util spot. Only other thought I have, is that we keep the IF util, and then add a straight Util spot. We would need another round I guess? And Im not sure if its too late too make that kind of change, or maybe turn one OF pos into Util...If any of the above makes sense, great! ;-)

Well I hadn't bothered to look at yahoo's player rankings, I'd assumed Thomas was eligible at 1B since he always has been in the past and since he is in other games. I didn't realize I was still short a 1b. The only reason he didn't play enough games to be considered a 1B is because he was injured. He played 3 of 19 at 1st which works out to about a sixth of his games.

what about we switch the 4th OF spot to a Util spot?
But, I'll leave it up to you guys as to the fate of Edgar, if you think I can keep him I'll keep him, if not, well......??????

Does anyone know how many games a player must play at a position until the become eligible for it? If I remember correctly from last year (I had Soriano who was originally listed as just a 3B) it's 20 games.
If that's the case the Frank Thomas will become eligible for 1B at some point this season.
I think we should change back to the original settings. ksoze will eventually be able to use Thomas at the 1B or IF spot.
J could either hang onto Edgar hoping he becomes eligible at some point or drop him for someone else. Nobody else has drafted since J so that would be easily correctable.
I would've drafted Edgar a couple rounds ago if I knew he was eligible.

The problem is, if we change back to original settings, ksoze CANNOT have Thomas. Yahoo will not let me put his name on the draft card.
My vote: OF4-->Util. And Edgar Martinez is forever banned from our game, the bastard. (That way ksoze wont get punished for this)

"Eventually" means I could use him somewhere around game 120 this year I suppose. I wouldn't have taken Thomas in the 9th, probably not at all, had I realized this.
