Please post all keepers here. We will keep 6 players again this year. Stats are HR, RBI, Runs, SB, OBP, Wins, Saves, ERA, Whip, K's.

Draft time to be announced. We'll be starting later this year. After Yahoo is up and running and probably closer to March.

Draft will be on kafenatid again.

So far, myself, Brian and Souza are in for $25 on the 2008 season. Any others? Again, completely voluntary. This is not a fee or dues of any kind.

You can jump in at any time, but only have until the draft starts to back out. :)

I like the idea of the pay to play, but it would be nice if everyone agreed. Possibley with 12 @$25 we could do $200-1st $100-2nd $50 3rd & 4th?

Also, I think we should keep the clock running over the weekends. Would help speed it up, and remember that not all of us sit at a desk for a job!

Mike,

I already know of at least 4 people who are deadset agaist a pay to play, so this will not ever be mandatory. I would much rather keep the fun league with these guys together. However, this $25 offering is on the side. If you want in, just say so. We are all on the honor system for payment and we won't even be collecting money. Just pay the winner at the end of the season.

Again, this is not and never will be mandatory.

sounds like some people are just damn cheap. what the insurance biz dont pay that well or what?!?! the problem that will happen if some people are paying and some are not, is that some people will want to be agressive and really try and some will just be lazy and be nonchelant about it, oh well. no block busters again this year! oh wait i forgot we had greg's snip last year, or was that the year before?? time flys when you're having babies!!!

Mike, its not a pay league. A few of us are putting a side bet down. That is all. If you want in, you're in. If not, you're not. Its as simple as that.

I'm betting that I finish higher than you Souza and Captain Cocko (the only other ones in on the side bet so far). Hell, I'll finish in first, so it doesn't really matter.

But don't get your panties in a bundle.

Its not fees. There is no vote. There is no debate. A few of us have a side bet of $25 each. If you want in, email that you are in. If not, do nothing.

This is a fun bragging rights league. But some of us want to put our money where our mouth is. Some, like Jackson, wants to put every bit of food he can find where his mouth is.

Ok, we have 2 changes:

1) Bobby Abreu is available as a FA. He was mistakenly entered as a keeper

2) Dan Uggla is not available as a FA. He was mistakenly left off a keeper list

Also, we'll have to be patient while this gets fixed. I've emailed Fred, the site admin, to change this. When I deleted picks back to make the change, I no longer had the option to enter picks.

Tax, I had sent you an email about what is going on and why I had originally deleted your pick. But you reentered it. So rather than delete/reenter wars until you saw the email, I decided to stop the draft again. Dvader is in a meeting right now with some clients. When he's done, I'll get his pick and open it back up.

But since you re-entered your pick the draft went on. I didn't want Dieter to make a pick befoer we got caught back up.

And, I actually stopped it on my own pick. I just managed to find 5mins today to make my pick. Work has been extremely hectic the last few days for Dvader and myself.

We will be caught up and on a normal clock come monday. Any time lapses will time out and tough cookies. Again, the reason we are doing this right now is due to a glitch on kafenatid. We are 1 pick away from catching up to where kafenatid took us.

Since you'd rather have the pick deleted that's what I did. I'd prefer to do it this way as well so people can see their ques and actually access the draft.

Just so we're clear, Tax, please don't pick until Dvader's pick is in. It actually probably will not be this evening.

Khahan...per our previous posts, I will not draft until dvader posts his 8th round draft pick or not 'till his clock expires on Monday, the 3rd of March. At what time (EST) tomorrow does the clock start for dvader and how long (how many hours) is the clock?

dvader's diligence in moving the draft fwd over the past two weekends remind me of Mike Hargrove, who as a player, earned the moniker of "The Human Rain Delay" due to the inexplable amount of time he took between pitches before settling in the batter's box.

There was 1 trade between Mrtrek and Souza for multiple picks. The picks were misentered. The extra trades were just corrections.

Mrtrek had sent out an email about trading draft picks. He and Souza worked out a deal and emailed me. I don't think we've ever had a league vote on traded picks so I didn't give it a second thought. But I should have at least posted it here.

I'm not sure I understand what happen as I didn't see an e-mail from mstrk, but I agree that trades need to be reported somewhere. At the end of this 12th round, I show mstrk with only 10 players, clv @ 11 (his trade for Rollins disclosed in this thread), Souza, Khahan and Taxman (me we clv) will have 13, and the rest have 12.

It would not be inappropriate to post the other trades, especially since several of us do not work in the same office and may be a bit out of the loop. I am aware that many of the managers in this league (ok..most) are not Gurupies, nor do they visit this thread. Is it possible to change that?
73Khahan

True tax. Although the 2involved in this trade are not in the same office. One works in NJ and the other is a cable installer.

The trade was made just before round 1 started. It was:

Mrtrek sends his Round 2 and 4 to Souza
Souza sends his 1st and last round picks to Mrtrek.

Again, it shows up as multiple trades but only because I entered it wrong initially and could not delete it (since we were already beyond R1). So I simply made a new trade to adjust draft picks. Everybody has the proper picks according to the trade that was made.
