The 2008 Prospect Draft officially begins at Noon EDT on Monday July 14th. Picks may not be made until then. Cards will have the first pick.
A draft-eligible prospect is defined as a hitter that has less than 150 AB or a pitcher with less than 55 IP or 20 GP and has not been on your active roster within one week prior to the draft. They do not need to be in the CBS player database, but can not be still in high school/college, etc. They need to either be on a pro team, drafted by a team, or a current free agent/professional Japanese or Cuban player.
Draft-eligible prospects will not be allowed to be added to a team via free-agency once the Sunday freeze occurs before the All-Star break until after the prospect draft concludes.
There will be a 3 hour per pick clock and a 4 hour cumulative clock to draft. If you are skipped, you may make your selection at any time. If you have been skipped and not made up that pick, you will continue to be skipped until you are caught up. Time will not accrue from midnight to 8 am ET, though anyone may select during that time if their pick is up. Legit queues will not accrue any time. Their likely won't be a cumulative clock chart so it's up to each manager to konw when he tiems out. I am sure thre will be some managers to help out with that.
The draft will conclude when a commish deems it concluded, not when the last pick has been made. Once the draft concludes, the only way to add a prospect is via trade or future drafts.

Please check to be sure your pick is not aleady a prospect or owned by a current manager before posting and use this format:
Round.number name,position,team,Y or N if he is in our cbs database so we can add a salary to him if applicable.
Typical Entry: 4.01 Joe Prospect,SS,Cin* (the asterisk means he does not yet have a salary as he is not currently in the cbs database--a Y or N is sufficient for the draft).
Illegal selections will be allowed to be corrected if found during the draft, but the draft will procede. Your replacement pick will be able to be made at any time.
Please email the next three managers after drafting. If you are posting for someone else, please put their name above their selection.
