Thanks for the numbers. For all those who don't know how the order is determined, it is determined this way. First off I sort the list alphabetically and come up with...

We need to discuss the draft parameters of time between picks, daily pause, and whether to have a weekend pause before starting the draft. They do not necessarily have to be the same as RIBC.

I prefer 4 hours between picks instead of 6. It is unlikely, although possible, that a manager who has not picked at 4 hours will pick at 6, and this difference will keep the draft moving and eliminate manager frustration. If we decide so, it should be made clear that positions 1 and 16 have only 4 or 6 hours to make both picks before timing out.

No problem with 4 hours, and definitely agree on only 4/6 hours for 1 & 16 to make both picks. Unless we drag unmercifully I would like to see a weekend pause to begin.

I think I did one better than the post in 56. I sent out the invites. Some other notes...

1. Clock will be off from 1AM to 7AM EDT, just like the RIBC.

2. I really wanted to use a four hours between picks, but for starters I will go with 6 hours and play it by ear. I will go to four if needed.

3. Since we need to make progress, unless I hear multiple objections, the clock will remain on over the weekend.

I'm generally one who says if a guy misses his turn tough beans, but this is a deep league and Kokeshi missed two picks at the turn and we have now moved 7/8 picks passed him.

I'm concerned that his team is going to be at a competitive disadvantage and thus impact the league overall.

Is it time to at least give him 2 place holders?

I hear ya. I would've done a few things differently if I had only remembered we're an ESPN league instead of a Yahoo! league this year. There are definitely some eligibility discrepancies I should've taken into account.

Shoukdn't the draft be over now and rhose with unmade picks be assigned placeholders in ESPN and have to pick up players through waivers or as free agents? You shouldn't be able to wait for a day or two or three, watch the news, and pick up people who win position battles, new closrts, etc.

IHP, I am having difficulty with my ESPN accounts. I have 3 of them and they are pretty old. For some reason ESPN thinks I'm under 18 so I can't update my account. I emailed them last week...I guess I'll create a new account.

Wolfer-So far I have found 3 important differences between the ESPN and Yahoo platforms. First ESPN requires 20 games played for position eligibility; Yahoo requires 5 started or 10 played. Secondly I do not think that ESPN gives the starting pitchers opposing each hitter on your team; Yahoo does. Third, and most important I was not notified of Kelly Johnson-Chris Young trade and given a chance to approve or disapprove it. Was anyone?-l

Sorry I was away again this weekend.

Loki, while the first difference is true, we were told of this difference before the draft started, and reminded of it again in the draft when someone picked a player at a position to which they were not eligible.

I will see if we can do anything about opposing sp, but no promises, as I don't control what gets developed next, all I can do is ask.
