kdl, I thought that too, but he can actually start all of those players. Braun, Upton, Beltran (when healthy), and Hawpe in the OF.Votto at 1st.Dunn at CI.Butler at Util. He'll certainly have issues at 2B,SS,3B,MI, and SP, so we'll have to see if the strategy pays off.

I think the best way to speed this up is for everyone to make every other team a designated picker. It is beyond me why we should wait around when someone has a queue ready to go but none of his DP's pull the trigger.

Are there DL slots on our rosters? That is, imagine you drafted Huston Street, knowing he is going to begin the season on the DL. Will I be able to put him on the DL and pick up another person?
Really enjoying this draft. Never done a slow draft like this before, and after initial impatience, I like the pace. I also like that my Q disappears every round - nice to play with a league full of folks who are paying attention.

As Guru once stated, if you type up your rationale before you make your pick, you can sometimes talk yourself out of a pick and into another one. And that's not always a bad thing. I did rationales for two years in AAA, but I don't think they lend that much to AA. I like the summary better at this level.

Is there simply a general ignorance of how to set up a queue and designate pickers (preferably set up at least the two teams on either side of you as a picker so that when they pick they can pick for you)? This has passed the point of ridiculous. Let's get this done, so we can get on with our lives.

Someone should definitely send him an email explaining the Q - it seems clear that he's not checking this message board or utilizing the Q.
I understand the frustration - it's been 20 hours since I made my last pick, which was only 8 picks ago at a turn in the snake - but he does have 6 hours to make a pick. Although it won't make much of an impact, we should probably shorten the clock to 4 hours, and cut an hour off of it overnight.

Ok. I left my queue for the turn. I'm still surprised with the lengthy delays, people haven't caught onto leaving queues. That's the best thing about Kafenatid. This has been the most un-enjoyable draft I've participated in. I appreciate the commish changing the clock, so hopefully that solves the issue.

jseth, I don't think you are a primary source of delay. Without crunching the numbers, myself, I'm just going on the last 4-5 turns. I don't mind using a queue, but I feel like I'm putting myself at a disadvantage at the turn if I continue to leave a 'blind' queue and other folks continue to burn the clock. I understand we are all busy and have things come up (see IHP), but I'm just asking that other folks start queueing up so that we keep the draft moving and we are all on equal footing. Next up, Dilligad!

I'm all for moving to a two hour clock today. The last three rounds are simply "pull a name from a hat". Chances are you can have twenty picks go by and you still will get the guy you want. About half the league is still not leaving queues. I think we could finish this draft today if we all left a ten player list. Four hour waits today and tomorrow would probably drag this damn draft into week three.
