The draft will be activated momentarily.
We will not start a clock until the first round has been completed, just to be sure that everyone is on board. After the first round, we will institute a 6 hour clock, with a moratorium between 1am and 7 am ET. Although that is a late finish for easterners and an early start for westerners, this still ensures that any team that spans the pause period has 12 hours to pick, which is sufficient.
After you make your pick, please go to the ESPN site and add your drafted player to your team. This will help to keep the player universe as current as possible at the game site.
Please make use of queues as much as possible, particularly if you will have limited access. When setting a queue, remember the following:
1. If you want your queue used, you must mark it as ACTIVE.
2. If your queue is active, you can opt to have all players visible to your designated picker, or just the top name. Most of the time, you'll only want the top name viewable.
3. You can set any manager in the league as a designated picker (DP). However, as the draft commish, I am automatically able to pick for anyone. Therefore, if it is your turn, and your queue is available, I will make your pick unless you leave specific instructions in this thread! In other words, if you do not want anyone - including me - to pick from your queue, then make sure it is UNAVAILABLE.
Please use this thread to alert others to any special instructions, and to let others know if you will be delayed for any pick. And please do not select from any other persons queue without first checking here for any special instructions or limitations.

I just turned off waivers for now so that we can pick up new draftees. I also made the roster adds for the first 9 picks.

I totally apologize for the holdup. A mixup in dates on my part and a dentist's appt. My hygienist's cute, but not worth the draft hang up.

Fellow managers,
I will have the same issues as the last few years -- I'm still consulting at a client site which makes it next to impossible to view any site that doesn't resemble work during the day.
I'll do my best to make a queue every night, but it will likely be for only one draft round. Thanks in advance for your patience.

Not sure why the clock didn't pause overnight. Mike V picked at 1:02am, and the pause shouldn't have started my clock until 7:00am.
No harm done.

deepsnapper- that's a very bad idea. If you want to leave special instructions for a queue, don't set up everyone as a DP. Set up only one or two - and then make sure they know what your conditions are.
Designating everyone as a DP with special instructions virtually assures a snafu. All it takes is one person to fail to check this thread in advance.

Dave -Thanks, but it was for that one pick only I had a couple of players in the queue and knew it would never get back to me. I have you ad Mike V. now and it'll be the single player option if I use it again.
I didn't want to slow the draft up and we've had the slowest day yet! lol

Guru -- queue is available while I'm out on the road taking my father to doc appointments today. Please use for 23.2 pick.
I should be back where I have an internet connection between 8 & 9 tonight (EDT). If the draft is slow, wait for me for pick 24.2; if it's flying along, go ahead and draft from the queue in the interest of getting the draft finished.

First trade just completed - Russ trades Markakis to me for Butler.
Russ has a pick in his queue, but I'm going to watt for a couple hours in case he wants to revise it in light of the trade.

Guru - thanks for the pickup of Davis. I can't seem to login to ESPN Fantasy ATM, but I've got a 10 player queue, so I'm set for Rd 25.
Sorry for the couple of delays guys. It's good karma we're finishing the draft. We're driving to Wichita KS tomorrow. Mrs deepsnapper's best girlfriend for 50 yrs received a diagnosis after a C[T of metastatic kidney cancer Friday which has spread to her liver & lymph nodes. It's been a tough weekend, but we'll be there Thursday when she's given her "options" by the Oncologist.
All prayers would be appreciated. Her name is Peggy. She's 58 yrs old.
