I can't officially approve the trade being in-season. There is no way this trade gets vetoed, so I'd say R9 go ahead and pick as if the pick is yours and if it would get vetoed the pick would go back to GL. The other way to do it is GL picks whoever R9 wants, but I'd prefer the former.

Remember to let us know if the prospect is in the CBS db or not. Will really help protect your prospect from a pickup if he gets called up. A simply Y or N/* please after the pick.
Then when your player gets added to the db, let us know.

Ref -- your official pd instructions don't ask for a Y or N. They ask for an asterisk if the draftee is not in the data base. They say that a Y or N is "sufficient" -- implying it is inferior to the way you want it, which is asterisk or no asterisk.
Some of us do read this stuff you know.

18: It will be a * in the rules if they are not in the db. Whichever is easiest. Problem is that some picks have nothing and they are not in the db.

Teheran was top pitcher on my list, but, as they say there is no such thing as a pitching prospect.
4 out of 5 of these guys will blow out their arm by the time they're 24.

I only had maybe 9-10 players I was considering and a lot of them are going later. Prob. cuz I'm not a student of the prospects, but there is still anotehr one out there I was really considering hard. The last two picks, my pick and that one undrafted player were the ones left when it was my pick.

R9 - Naturally one of my strategies is to look at emerging prospects that have taken significant steps forward compared to their offseason prospect ranking. Minor was definitely one of those, plus he's likely to help in 2011.
Tosh left a significant queue...I just listed enough to make it to his pick. Too bad he didn't get Lawrie...that's a steal at that pick. I seriously considered him when making the Hicks pick....depends a lot on whether he can stay at second.

I liked Lawrie as well, but figured he needed to be traded (or Weeks leaves) to get to the bigs soon and they
are maybe thinking of OF, but left is full with ??? (can't remember name).
Looks like a bunch of folks were on the same wavelength regarding the pick list: mjd/judy, R9/species,
Tosh/Toral, R9. Several of the ones I had listed were taken as well after my pick. Only 2 names are left on
my original list of 8.

I read Lawrie was going to have to go to CF.
It's weird there were players I jsut happend to take a glance at based on posiiton who ended up being drafted.

Yeah, I kept away from Lawrie because of the possible position switch. Still a solid prospect though, and I would've taken him over Montgomery if he was still there. Hosmer too.
