Hey all, the yahoo league is up and running as posted. I've emailed the login info out to everybody. Check in, get signed up and we'll start the draft selection process, get us all signed up on draftime and we'll be off and running.

Our draft is started and open to go. There will be no clock monday, but Tuesday starting at 8am EST we will have a 5 hour clock. the end picks get 5 hours (not 10).
If you are skipped, make up your pick asap. If you have 2 clocks in a row time out w/out putting in either pick, we reserve the right to have the highest ranked undrafted player (per yahoo pre-season rankings in our league) added for you.
If you miss any 2 picks, I reserve the right to skip your pick in the future.
I doubt either of the above will happen but would rather cover as many bases as I can.

FYI guys, if you set me as a designated picker, if I am around when your pick comes up and I get the email. I'm going to log in and make your pick right away. So don't set me as a designated picker unless you are ok with this.

C1 has a player queu'ed and I'm a DP for him but the player he has is looking at some potential injury issues so I don't feel comfortable making the pick for him. Gonna sit on it and give him time to choose. Since our clock isn't officially stasrted I'm going to ask any other designated pickers to do the same.

I have resurrected my program that sends out each pick as either an email or as a text message.
Essentially, each time a pick in your draft is made, you would receive an email or text message in this format:
RIBC-AAy: 3.13 Utley, Chase, 2B, PHI by [manager]
If you have it sent to an email address, that should appear as the subject. If sent as a text message, that will be the message.
Note that if you have these sent as text messages, each pick will count as one out-of-network message. With 300+ picks to go, don't use text messages unless you can handle the marginal cost of that many out-of-network messages.
If you want to be included, send me (davehall@rotoguru2.com) your message destination(s) - email address, cell phone #, or both. If it's a cell phone, you also need to tell me your cell phone carrier. Also tell me which league you are in.

We're falling behind the other drafts. Way behind. For a while out of all the ribc leagues were ahead of all or ahead of all but 1. Now we are the least progressed.
We need to use queues, Designated pickers, auto picks etc. KKB has given us all a lot of great tools here.
1 change I am going to make effective monday after the pause is that the clock will run from 7am est to 1am est.
This puts our clock in line with the other ribc leagues.

I emailed kkb asking if he can fix our draft pause for the weekend. I set it up wrong. Clock is supposed to be running today. if he can't I'll monitor and see if we can manually enforce the 5 hours.

KKB can't override the draft pause during the pause, so the 5 hour clock will be manually enforced. Current pick ends at 11:56am (per draftime clock).

if you know you're going to be out please leave a queue. We started making decent progress temporarily. And actually turn it on, make it available. Most people who are taking hours upon hours to pick have a queue with no DPs and available turned off. It doesn't help.
Draftime has a lot of great tools to facilitate our draft. Please use them.

ksoze, we have a draft pause on the weekend.
and dpr, you've been great about using draftime's tools. We all have that one moment. Unfortunately, we've all had that one moment during this draft and they've been staggered out to cause a bunch of slows and stops.
We're moving though. Doing good. With the new clock times on Monday we'll be fine.

Does Texas get 10 hours when he misses his pick? Usually if you time out of one pick you time out until you get back. Not a huge deal, but we burned all morning and afternoon with no action and that might put a delay on our end time.

Per post 32, the end slots do NOT get a double clock. they got 5 not 10. Now those numbers are down to 4, not 8.
However, for tracking purposes I am only counting it as 1 missed pick as far as skipping future picks are concerned.

Evan's end picks have been skipped due to timing out. Evan, please get in and make thsoe picks asap before we fall too far behind. If your next pick times out I'll follow the guidelines I outlined in post 32. Don't really like doing it but at that point you'd be in the hole 4 players. Highest ranked, undrafted players in the yahoo database....may not necessarily take into account your positional/stat needs.
