This is the discussion thread for The Perfect Keeper League 2011 Supplemental Draft.
The draft is taking place at www.draftime.com.
I urge everyone to use the help on the site to learn how to use specific features. Even though I was on the beta testing for this site, I am still new to this as well. A few things that it will do:
Uneven draft rounds.
Automatic Queues (though you have to set it to auto-pick).
Designated Pickers.
Draftpick trades.
Time limits.
Some things it will not do:
Prospect support.
Supplemental picks during draft.
Queues for unlisted players.
The system lists infield positions as INF. For every player, it will ask you to select a position. If you are selecting a player as a prospect, please select 'PR' as the position.
If you want to draft a prospect that is not on the lists, first, refer to the nolistkeepers.xls sheet in the files section of our group and make sure he is not already taken. If he is not already taken, then you must enter his name using the Free-Form Entry link. This can only be done when making a pick, and will not work for Queues. If you will not be available to make a pick that is not on the list, please designate a picker to do it. I will gladly help with this.
I have added a few extra picks under me at the end of the draft to see if we can figure out how to add supplemental picks to the end in case of an in-draft prospect drop. I am not sure if or how this will work, but it's possible those picks will have to be made offline.
The draft will have a 4 hour clock from 9am to midnight, EST/EDT, Every day until the end of the draft. The reason for this is that I am going on vacation on the 19th and I'd very much like this draft to be done by then.

Update on how to select an unlisted player:
1. Select use search
2. Enter any name, click Search
3. Beneath the names, click 'Select Unlisted Player'
4. Enter the First and Last name, and the Team for which he plays
5. Click Add player
Remember that you can only do this with a pick, and not in a queue. And also be aware that if you enter a player this way and he's actually on the list, your pick will be skipped.

It's not something that is against the rules, but trading picks during the draft hasn't really been done in this league for whatever reason.
I think we'd have to set a rule that the commish has sole veto power on pick trades within 24 hours of the start, or during the draft, so we don't have to delay the draft for a vote. I can guarantee that I would not veto a trade unless it was ridiculous.

I've been seeing DP's for some queue picks, which is fine. I just want to make sure everyone is aware that this new site handles autopicks. If you select 'pick based queue' and enter a player, above the player list on the right hand side is a button that says 'AutoPick Off'. If you click on that, it will turn autopick ON. (Default is off)
