I wish I was in a position to move or trade, but I'm stuck with my 3 keepers, so I'm ready to go.
I think the only one we haven't heard from yet is Mike Vivian, handle "Dilligad". I think he is the only one I haven't heard from yet this year.
Does anyone know him or have another way of contacting him?

This year, because I'm so busy, but moreso, because I know we don't need a clock and we always draft without issue, I'm just going to list my keepers now. If you are comfortable with who you plan to go with and want to list them here, go ahead. I will say this, once you list them, barring injury, what you post you have to go with.
Once the last person posts, I will login and upload the keepers so we can start the season.
I have a backup plan should we have slackers, but it seems like everyone is already chomping at the bit so lets get 'er dun, and we don't have to worry about that nonsense.

The reason I took so long to pick was because I really wanted Pedroia with my pick and I entered it 3 different times. I ended up settling with Reyes because I couldnt convince myself to rout for the red sox

I myself was going to thank David Hammack for taking Pedroia off the board for me. I wouldn't had been able to pass him up. I don't think I've owned a red sox this entire series. I'm still not over being stuck with the Papi/Manny combo from YAKL.

Potential change in the rules for next year...
As soon as I made my last pick, I realized someone else I'd rather have. I'm sitting here watching this pick thinking as long as the next picker hasn't chosen yet, I should be able to edit that pick to the one I'd rather have.
I'm not going to make any changes to this pick now, but I would've been happy to do so for any of you if you were in the same position, and the next picker hasn't chosen yet.
Next year, this will be something to vote on. Thoughts, ideas?

How would something like that be managed? Suppose the manager who follows me uses an instant pick queue; would I be at a disadvantage as a result? Obvious errors could (and should) be corrected; i.e. Drafting Chris Carpenter SP, BOS in lieu of Chris Carpenter SP, STL, but otherwise it could get cimbersome and slow the draft process.

And Matt would need to be 100% available to make the change, though that issue could worked around by giving additional managers (or all for that matter, just during the draft) administrative power on Draftime-a new feature added this year.

Actually, I think they already had the feature in place. This doesn't mean im pushing it anymore than giving you all the information. Draft time does have a pause in its auto pick feature. We can force anyone putting on auto-pick to have a 10 minute pause or something like that.... if that was something that the group was interested in.

I do not remember any year, even as YAKL that every single round I had at least 1-2 players crossed off my immediate queue. I think we are all on the same page, and I really believe that anyone can win this year, there are no favorites and I hope it plays out like I imagine it will.

Just a friendly reminder - regarding drafting players starting the season in AAA.
Any manager that drafts a player that is not on a major league squad must keep that spot open and available until the player is available or the player is forfeit and once again a free agent.
Any manager who picks up a 'taken' player will have that player removed from his roster, again, as long as the drafting manager holds a roster spot.
With that said, Yahoo is getting on this and simply now lists all players that are even possible MLB players. This should not be a problem, just a reminder.

Last year I drafted someone who started the season on the dl, dont remember who. They didn't put him on the official 'dl' until the season started. I will upload the rosters tonight and see if its setup any different this year.

The only time we ever had started the season with the entire FA pool on the waiver wire is when Yahoo made us start out that way. That hasn’t been the case for the last 3 or so years. Since whenever they’ve allowed us the option as commissioners, I’ve always chosen to start the preseason with all players as free agents, not on waivers.
I prefer this because things change when you’re drafting. Position battles get won, someone might have a very good or very bad spring and players get hurt. I’ve had some preseasons where I’ve changed 3-4 players and I’ve had some where I’ve gone with my drafted 26. In Taxman’s case, I’m glad he didn’t have to waste a waiver position and hope someone didn’t try to undercut him when his drafted closer is declared out for the season. So, I prefer it this way, but you should all know by now that I am always open to rules changes if the group feels they are needed. So, please discuss.
This would be something that we can vote on for next series if anyone has thoughts about it. I will post this same message on the message boards to open it up for conversation.
