ESPN invites have been sent. If you team name does not match your name or draftee handle, please let us know what it is:

For example:

Judy = judy (DT) = Sam n Max (ESPN)

The following still need to sign in to Draftime: bh, jaydog, better off red, vote 4 pedro.

Also, I notice on draftime that some of your primary emails are NOT the ones Guru sent to me. Please let me know which email you prefer for notices from me via my .mac email account.

Thanks.

We are ready for you to select your draft position. It is a regular snake draft. My drafts are generally untimed and the understanding is that you will use the queue system in Draftime. If you will be late, let us know in the thread.

The big boys expect to start their draft on March 7. Well be close to that. A well attended draft usually takes us 7 days +/-.

Once you select your draft slot, copy paste the list, add you name. I will try to keep folks updates on the next three when I am around.

15 days, 400 picks, or a need of 1 pick every 54 minutes average to get the draft done in time. OR 1 pick every 38 minutes if you do a 7am to midnight clock.

That's cutting it close imo

We can start on the 7th and still be done before the 20th, but everyone needs to be prepared to draft no less than 2 rounds per day, even on the weekends.

This can be accomplished very easily if managers use the queue system and there are no lengthy delays.

For anyone who has not drafted in one of Judy's leagues before, she runs a tight ship and her leagues never need to use a clock. But if you go MIA without cause or notice, she will take you to task.

Literally I waited and waited all night to pick, I didn't want to send a queue as my pick was contingent on who else was picked before me. I don't like queues either and I'm typically available anytime between 6am and midnight. As soon as I give up waiting bam both guys pick, then I try to pick and the site is down. It's in now, took 45 minutes for me to get the pick loaded.

Please post in the rationale thread.

1.09 Joey Votto, 1B, CIN

The 5th rated player on my board (after Trout, Miggy, Goldy, Cutch), it should go without saying that I was ecstatic to get Votto here. I said it anyway.

2.08 Giancarlo Stanton, OF, MIA

Big time power, he was the guy I was targeting for this pick. In RIBC, I take many more risks than in other leagues, and risking a bust from Stanton was well worth his ceiling, which might actually be higher than Votto's.

3.09 Justin Upton, OF, ATL

When he was a perennial first rounder, I never got to own Upton. Well, here we are. He's a steal in the third round.

4.08 Billy Hamilton, PR, CIN

Some people seem to think that Hamilton is a huge risk. I think he's going to be awesome. If he steals 120 bases, you've won the category right there. Honestly, what's his floor? A pinch runner 4 times a week, stealing 2 bases a week? That's 50 for the season. I don't think you can do much wrong with Hamilton, and happy to get him, even with the superstars still going in this round.

5.09 Kenley Jansen, RP, LAD

I looked at Matt Holliday. It's a crime that he was still available at 5.10, and I would have taken him if I didn't already have 3 outfielders and a first baseman. Time to look at pitching; closers are already moving, and Jansen is #1 on my board.

6.08 David Robertson, RP, NYY

Yankee closers are great, right? Seriously, Robertson's been waiting for this, and I expect him to be elite. More relevant is the two-closer discussion. I feel it's a good base - I'll be near the top in saves, and my ratios have that extra help, plus lots of strikeouts.

7.09 Jered Weaver, SP, LAA

Weaver is good. Yes, his K/9 and fastball have been down, but he's still getting it done. Got him at a bargain last year, and rode his hot streak. Looking for more of the same this year, and happy to have an ace as my first SP.

I did not want to post / jinx anything as long as my ERA was 2.0 and my WHIP was 1.0 with over 250 innings pitched. some implosions in the last few days and I am now sitting at 2.71 and 1.09.

my hitters are slowly progressing. I had 2 really bad weeks to begin the season but I am slowly recovering and the situation looks better every day. I hope that trend continues

a few more days and I am totally expecting to be in 1st place.

11 days ago I anticipated that I will be first soon. it did take longer than a few days, but now I am finally #1.

ERA is down to 2.69, WHIP is down to 1.08. my hitters are finally showing some pop this week. The only stat I am failing right now is SB. Last week I had 12, this week I have 0. a 2 week average of 6 isn't that bad though.

G. Stanton, J. Upton, N. Cruz, B. Hamilton, and G. Springer for 4 spots and a util.

Leaves Marcell Ozuna in the cold - certainly there's some team out there that can use him.

Ok, I officially surrender on pitching. I am 1's in ERA and WHIP, and it's not particularly close. 16 in saves, so that's good.

If you have a high strikeout, high ERA pitcher to offer, I am interested. I think Verlander will turn his k rate around, but Weaver is definitely on the table.

Also looking for a 3B or SS, but my hitting is in pretty good shape.

Can't imagine there are a whole lot of 2nd place teams at 1-1 in ERA-WHIP. Fortunately, we're running away with saves.

Here's hoping a rotation of Verlander, Weaver, Burnett, Arrieta, and Salazar can get us at least a few points in one of the pitching categories.

I had some lousy days and Tosh gained a lot of points closing the gap from 22 to less than 5 points within a few days. one strong day and I am at an all-season high of 130.5 points. there are not many points where I can still improve, so I think I reached my ceiling. Since finally taking the lead for a couple of days last week, I've lost 4 starters to injury. 1B (Hosmer), 3B (Wright), #3, #4 SPs (Ryu & Garza)

I also left Chris Young on the bench for starts vs. TOR and DET. Missed out on 12IP, 6H, 1ER, 2W.

I was sitting 14th row, 1B side behind the netting for the TOR-SEA game at Safeco, and was surrounded by Canadians. They were even heavier on the 3B side. I wonder how the Canadians are able to get so many of the expensive season-ticket holder seats?

In the past, there is a sweet online market for season ticket holders to sell their tickets if they want. I'm sure the Jays tickets get them a sweet return. Scalper market seems strong too. I often wonder why I buy my tickets in advance when I go.

Also, I'm sure there are some BC locals that buy seasons and sell most of the non-Jays tickets.

Despite the sweep, I'm still sad about missing out this year. Managed to check the Jays series at Safeco for like 6 of 8 years, and the field and the fans there are always a treat to witness. Highfiving Jays fans from all over is the life for me!

TOR-SEA games are almost always the most fun of the season. Toronto always draws a big (seems like 1/2 or more) crowd, and they are friendly, like to drink beer, and cheer.

Normally if you hear a big cheer, you can turn to the field and see a good Mariner play. That's not the case against Toronto. It's noisy from start to finish. I had two cute blonde gals from Calgary sitting next to me. They drove 700 miles to see just one of the three games. Every time the Jays made a good play, they flashed big giant smiles at me. Made the game even more enjoyable.

Ack, I'm out of innings. Since I'm mired at the bottom in ERA and WHIP, figured I'd go all-in today. Picked up 9 pitchers, then turned them into 9 hitters at the freeze, and between all 9 of them, might come close to making up for losing Stanton.

congratulations Tosh!

It was a fight till the end. at one point yesterday I was even #1, but that only lasted for a few seconds. looking at our stats probably 1 or 2 at-bats could have made a difference. there is still hope that there are some stat corrections in my favor, but I doubt it.

my problem was that I got too few wins in July and August. the other stats (IP, K, ERA, WHIP) were ok these 2 months but my pitchers were not lucky enough to get these damn wins.

I hope we will see each other in RIBC next year.

congratulations also to mjd for managing his hitters to get 1917 out of 1944 total games and to blue hen who not only managed to exceed the IP by 48 innings, but also for 256 moves. I am not good at picking starting pitchers and on most days I am in the wrong timezone to have a chance to play some matchups as soon as the 7pm lineups are announced. I am also a loyal manager and tend to stick to my players. sometimes for too long.

Congrats Tosh!

And also Youngromo and Rotoguru Jr. That's the best part of a high finish in RIBC AAA: Next year in the majors!

Just so we're clear, I had Jose Quintana in my lineup when I exceeded my innings, and he was rained out - then pitched 8 innings the next day. Not that it would have helped.

Unbelievable that I was 1-2 in ERA and WHIP. In my other main league, G20, I was 19-20 in those categories, and set league records. I guess that's a knock on diversification.

This was one of my best drafts - albeit Votto was a lousy #1 pick - with Stanton, Upton, and Hamilton. Weaver won 18 games. Kenley and Robertson were a solid closing combo. George Springer, Nelson Cruz, and Jarrod Dyson (25th round!) were amazing late picks. But I couldn't overcome the high ERA and WHIP.

I'll be here in 2015. See you then!

Thanks to everyone for a fun and competitive season. I was nervous all the way to the last game.

I suffered injuries over the course of the season, particularly early in the season, and lost a closer on opening day (Jim Henderson). Some clutch free agent signings (Josh Harrison, Kolten Wong, Dallas Keuchel, Chris Young, Brad Boxberger) were mainstays in my lineup. I also had a strong MI, and often found myself using a MI as my DH.

Pitching was a disaster early, but the Kershaw/Hamels combo led to a strong numbers the last 4 months. My ERA in June/July/Aug/Sept was 2.92, 2.65, 2.70, 2.84. WHIP was 1.17, 0.92, 1.12, 0.97.

Best draft picks were Jose Bautista (3.12), Ben Revere (15.12) and Dee Gordon (21.12). Worst picks were David Wright (2.05), Josh Hamilton (6.05) and Jim Henderson (10.05)

Thanks to everyone for allowing me to get Weaver, Verlander, Haren, and Doolittle on waiver claims (for 37 IPs), and especially thanks for letting me Carlos Santana on a waiver claim (101 GPs)

See everyone again in the future!

Weaver, Haren, Verlander, and Doolittle (and Kenley and Gausman and Stroman) were all mine. Couldn't believe I ran out of innings that early. But in a way, that's a potential strategy - wouldn't it be great to have a 15 man bench of hitters?
