PSFL & OIFL Leagues [combined thread]
Welcome back to Season 13 of the PSFL (AL-only), and season 7 of the OIFL (NL-only).
Defending Champs are –
AL-only ~ SANFORDORS [from the #6 seed]
NL-only ~ Tosh [Back-to-back champ]
Eight managers from last season have returned. We welcome back Boozer/Jackhammers [the 2005 AL Champ], and also welcome long-time Gurupie Nerveclinic.
Since the same managers are in both leagues, we’ll do the draft order selection the same way as 2014 & 2015. That selection will be for the AL-only. We will then reverse the selection for the NL draft.
So, if you take the #1 slot for AL, you get the #10 slot for NL. #7 slot in AL gets the #4 slot in NL. And so on.
The draft will again be held at www.draftime.com. You should all be pre-registered. Go log in and check it out.
I’m going to get the draft order selection out soon, we can pick those, then get started around March 8.

I took the current team names as they appeared on my Yahoo page. I used the Random Integer Set Generator three times, and re-sorted each time.

I activated the draft on my phone this morning. The response on the 'Start Draft' button was quite slow, and I impatiently hit the button 3 times. Apparently that gave him 3 picks!
I've sent an email to draftime for a correction. Once he makes pick #1, I will skip the next one if it doesn't do it auto-magically.
BOTH DRAFTS ARE LIVE! We've been able to go without clocks previously. I'm assuming we can do it again.
Please note - Nerveclinic lives on the other side of the world, 12 hours different from the Puget Sound. He is a queue-master, so he likely will never cause any delays.

Off to a roaring start in the NL. The projected finish of the draft is on Friday morning. In 3 days!
One nice feature of these drafts is that they can get coordinated ... and you get to make picks for both drafts at the same time. We're already there.

Thank you all for fast and efficient drafts. The 2012 PSFL draft was slightly faster ... but just by hours. I could not be more pleased.
The AL-only results are all entered. Please check your team for accuracy.
We'll plan on activating the league for FA pickups next week. Probably Wednesday or Thursday.

An interesting week 6 in the NL-only...
A 3-way tie for 1st place going into the week, with darkside just 0.5 games behind. The top teams played the teams ranked 4-5-6.
And the 4-5-6 teams put the hammer down on the leader. darkside has put a little distance between the rest of the teams now.

Congrats to our 2016 Champions, Tosh in AL-only and Darkside in NL-only. Well deserved.
Another fun year. It was exciting despite losing both finals in a tiebreaker.
Wish I did that well every year.

Exciting finish! Both leagues decided by TIEBREAKER.
I thought I had lost ... assuming that the Tiebreaker was OBP in the final week. I was wrong. The tiebreaker is -"Best regular season record vs opponent wins - Team with the best regular season winning percentage vs their playoff opponent wins."
mjd beat me 2 out of 3 weeks this season, but in week 2, I beat him 8-1. That led to my overall-season victory of 15-13-2. Pretty close!!
Thanks to everyone for another successful season of H2H. See y'all Next Spring!

mjd should have won the NL title...only an implosion by relievers (including one he'd just picked up) late in the day Sunday did him in. His showing in both leagues this year was impressive and it was very tough to lose both to tiebreakers.
Congrats, Tosh and thanks to everyone for a great year. I'm looking forward to defending my NL title next year and having a better showing in the AL league.
