Hey All,
Welcome to the RIBC AAA Yahoo league. Before I get into this I'd like to apologize if I spammed everybody with invite emails. Yahoo has a new league set up this year and after sending invites out (or thinking I did)to everyone the message still said "0 invites sent" so sent them again. And it still said "0 invites sent." So I sent one to just myself and it finally said, "1 invite sent." So I sent one to Wiggs individually and it still said, "1 invite sent." So I'm going to list all the AAA Yahoo participants here. If you did not get an invite (check the email you gave to guru to let him know you'd be doing RIBC this year) and see your name here, let me know:

Resolved the invite issue. I had been including the draftime url in the body of the message. As soon as I sent an invite without the url in it the body, it seems to have gone thru. So I'm fairly confident each of you will only be receiving 1 email to sign up at yahoo. "Fairly" confident.

I'll send out invites again this evening when I get home. Crack Babies managed to actually join and Yahoo is now indicating invites were successfully sent to Bean and Art of Monk. So something, somewhere went thru. Not a big deal. We're well ahead of the game. I'll resend tonight. And if that doesn't work I'll see if yahoo still allows the old fashioned way to be used to sign in to drafts.

No draftime invite was sent out - well I tried, the link was part of the invites to the yahoo league. But they seemed to screw up the yahoo invite.
However, at Yahoo on our league home page, you'll find the invite info for draftime posted. Been there from day 1.

In case I am inattentive, when my pick comes up give me the closest to center pick available (1.e 8.5) if there is a tie, give me the lower numbered pick (eg. choose 7 over 10 if they are the closest to center still available).
Rationale, being on the ends can lead to reaching in the middle rounds to fill empty positions.

I am in for whatever y'all have got. Just so y'all understand, I aint got a smartphone yet so I am still using my ipod for drafting. Unfortunately I have to use wifi so sometimes I drive my companies truck so I might be unavailable for every second of the draft. That is why I had a few gaps in picks last year. I will do my best to stay in tune though.Usually I don't have a problem till we get to the later rounds cause I am usually never home and either working at my farm or playing softball in tournaments and stuff.

The draft is started only so managers can set queues and start ranking their players. We are not actually drafting yet but draftime has no other way to do this.
Please do not do any picks on Sunday. Give people at least 1 day without the pressure of a pending pick to set up queues and prepare. Come Monday, if you want to pick, feel free. The clock will not start running until Tuesday morning at 8am EST.
If a few picks are made before Tuesday morning and then we stall out because somebody is not picking I will NOT do anything about it. Once the draft clock starts, however, I will expect all managers to pay attention, use the queue system, use the designated picker system - generally keep things moving. The first weekend at least I'm planning on stopping the clock. But again, by utilizing the tools this great draft site gives us, theoretically that should not cause much of a slow down. Be respectful of the other 15 managers in the league who want to get this done.

Looking to swap Rodon for a similarly ranked pitcher. I drafted him by mistake but just am mentally soured on him since I associate him with screwing up my draft (wanted a RP or OF here and thought I was drafting Rondon).
So if you have a SP in the 100 to 150 pre-season rank range and would prefer Rodon, shoot me a trade. Nothing more than just a severe mental block against him since I feel my draft was screwed up there.

The details are not yet available, but in my opinion A.J. Pollock will be out for a minimum of 12-16 weeks with the very real possibility of missing all of 2016. It will be difficult for my team to be competetive with this happening to my co-number one draft pick.
Again this is only my opinion, but there is too much of an injury risk with hand 1st/head 1st slides. The risk/benefit ratio is just not there.
Pollock probably fractured his arm in the same spot that he he did years ago. If he was going to slide head 1st, he should have been coached to lead with his left. Depending on the site, a healed fracture is rarely as strong as the original bone.
Deja vu all over again. I drafted Tom Brady in the 1st round the year missed the entire season with ACL surgery, and I drafted Dez Bryant last season.

One month in. In my draft recap, other than my team I wrote that I liked C1-NRB (currently in 5th), maspero (3rd) and Sanfordors (1st). Not bad for an old fashioned eye test, wouldn't you say! :)

Ugh, this season is a complete waste for me. Matt Harvey to anchor my pitching staff....anchor is right. Dragging it right down in the murky depths.
Ian Desmond as my SS? Looks like a great pick now. Except that after last season's debacle of a stat line and the start he got off to this season (I never had him on my bench when I had him) his stat line for me was: 9 runs, 2 rbi's, 1sb .207 obp .151 slg. He's now got a .337 obg, .471 slg, 8 sb, 25 rbi and 30 runs scored and is ranked top 30 overall.
Kolten Wong - lets not be rash and drop him. He's a part time player at this point. I think as of now I'm fighting to finish middle of the pack. I can manage that at least. :)

Miffed with the Commish.
As I wrote on the league home page I accidentally dropped Trea Turner a couple of days ago. I immediately emailed Khahan to see if he could fix the change. I have seen this done several times over the years in RIBC leagues. After he didn't get back to me I just decided to let it go. But then to see that Khahan picked up Turner from waivers just really rubs me the wrong way.

Should be all fixed. I got the email at a time I couldn't do anything about it. By the time I was able to do something I completely forgot about the email. Tomas has been dropped like you originally wanted.

I finally started to make a move at the end of the season.
But my 1st round draft pick is injured again. A.J. Pollock was out since April, came back about 2 weeks ago, and now he his out with a groin strain.

thanks Khahan. rode Scherzer , Verlander and then surprisingly, Orioles pitching. Billy Hamilton with 58 SB's till he got hurt. Donaldson, Trumbo, and had good luck with healthy players. GG all. See you in the spring Zen!

I lose the 4th spot the last day ... sigh ... anyway a good year all summed up, though bryce harper not being what I hoped for !!!
