Already checked in. It was under el fatador. Changed name so no more confusion. This happened last year also. Just a heads up boys, the weekend of Mar 24th-25th, I will be at a bowling tourney. It is a weekend so no time limit but I might be a little pre-occupied (mainly smash mouthed drunk)so don't ride me to hard about picking that weekend.

Now that we are done, here is my thinking for the next steps. I am going to set up drafttime Saturday morning and start it also. I will not go after anyone for holding up the draft until Monday.
The reason for this is the RIBC will be starting this weekend.

I leave rationals up to you guys. I have never done or asked for rationals in my leagues.
Secondly, I did not say that about the clock. I said I would only enforce if I have to. As of the current pace, we are on pace to finish the Monday before the season starts.

I know rationales are not required in AAA but hoping a few more than 3 of us put in some commentary about their draft thoughts. I think it is real useful to go back mid/post season and see our thought process, plus it is fun to see what everyone’s approach is. Plus considering none of us really know one another other than from these boards, if we’re going to compete season long why not get to know who we are up against

I’ll be in and out all day, kicking each of your asses, except sparkyanne. I don’t kick people named Sparky, I learned that lesson back in 84, a tobacco juice incident with a certain Tigers manager. ⚾️🐯
I think we should give our league a subtitle... Sixteen people who hate Ian Desmond.

Sorry, Mailedfoot, but your MI has been sent to the penalty box. Jorge Polanco - 80 days for steroids
He was the guy I ended up drafting in the 19th round last year. He started off the season awful and I cut him. You get to avoid the awful start, maybe this is a blessing for you.
As a Twins fan, this is a terrible omen. Maybe Nick Gordon will start up in the Bigs...?

Could we maybe go to a 2 hour clock? In most RIBC drafts way down here at the end more managers use queues because it is more likely you are going to get your preference. Yet we seem to be using fewer and fewer. Likewise, getting skipped over is not nearly the punishment it was earlier.

A couple of slackers have done their best to suck most of the fun from this draft. Same characters every year. I knew who they were when we started and they preformed as expected. They needed a 2 hour clock to start.

My goal was to get done sometime this weekend. We only have 8 picks left. That being said, I have two things. First off, would the two people I just sent emails to read them. Secondly, the other "reason" that I wanted to get done sometime this weekend is that I basically have no time to enter results until Sunday night.

I'm sure I'm one of the people you are calling out. I had a queue and it ran out. I was traveling and due to the snow in the North East it took a lot longer than expected. Came here to apologize, and get to see the expected overreaction.
I think I had 2 picks that took me a long time and the rest were almost instant. The first pick I didn't know the draft started which skewed my whole clock.
Either way, I don't see how finishing the draft 7 days before the start of the season starts sucks the fun out of it. A few of you need to learn how to relax a little.

I was looking through my rationales and even though it is only mid May, look how much luck I had avoiding these landmines...
I like Justin Turner, he kills it in points leagues, like top ten points per at bat. Maybe I should have taken him at #51. I am also a fan of Elvis Andrus, but I'm set at SS. Was hoping maybe Daniel Murphy or R Cano might make it to #78, but that was far too optimistic. :0
Yeah, had to settle for Aaron Nola!
"My BOLD prediction this pre-season is that Jed Lowrie outperforms Cano in 2018."
Mid May and I'm declaring victory.
Robbie Cano pisses like a Russian Race Horse, will be suspended while his broken hand heals.

Gotta give Foot and mjd some serious credit. 147 and 146 points out of a MAXIMUM of 160 is pretty friggen impressive. I am at 127 and cannot even see them......
Comparatively, Guru is lapping the field in RIBC with 136 with 108, 103 and 98 behind him.

Congrats to mailedfoot and an incredibly impressive 149, including a perfect 80 in the 5 pitching categories. You did it out of draft slot 12 too! I’d say it was a runaway except for the strong second by species and the fact mjd almost hung with you for most of the second half. Three worthy efforts to warrant RIBC promotions. The three of you combined had only one ranking in any category lower than a 12!
I’ll take my sixth place with both pride and disappointment, but glad to beat my rival Seattle Zen by 0.5.
Fun season... thanks all... except for the lack of banter.

So, I guess Yelich snuck past J Upside at the end of the season with a strong finish while Justin was conveniently nursing an injury. I'm a man of my word, so I will state that for a brief six month period (April 2018 to September 2018) Species surprisingly was a better fantasy manager. Six months is but a grain of sand in the history of the universe, just sayin'... ;)
Congrats to Foot, who also won our ottoneu league. Damn fine 2018 for you.

Thank you! These RIBC leagues are always tough and this was no exception. Even with a high point total, I could never quite shake the closest pursuers. Props to Species who had a great lineup and kept me honest right to the end.

Congrats mailedfoot on a truly incredible RIBC season. What a draft! Betts, Benintendi, Albies, Andujar, Suarez, Kluber, Diaz, Cole, Taillon and Happ. Talk about hitting a lot of home runs with those picks!
I have to say I too had a boatload of luck. I hit jackpots on Justin Verlander (particularly relative to his draft position and other pitchers taken ahead of him) Trevor Story, Trevor Bauer, Matt Chapman and Blake Treinen, who should get credit for one of the best closer years in fantasy history: 9 wins (!), 37 saves, 98k (79.1 ip) and ratios of 0.79 and 0.83. Unreal! I got fortunate with pickups too in Yuli Gurriel, Chacin, Giles, Leblanc, M. Gonzales and Semien. I also got 14 wins and pretty strong ratios from streaming.
All in all it was not enough to overcome the dominance of mailedfoot........although I did make him sweat for a day. I think at one point in early/mid September the score was something like 145 to 144 before he woke up and realized he should probably pay attention.
Thank you Seattle Zen for acknowledging the truth. Yeah, that Yelich guy just sneaked past Upton on the basis of one month (yeah right). How lucky!
Good luck to all next year. See a few of you in RIBC!

Congrats to mailedfoot and Species.
I'm pretty happy with 3rd, since I get to advance. I took lesson's learned from previous years and fortunately it panned out.
Looking back on my draft, only 10 players I drafted made it to the end. Half were pitchers which were my weakness last year.
I certainly dropped Jose Martinez too soon, but FA pickups Muncy (early) and Mondesti (later) really paid off.
