This thread is for your (optional) overall comments on the draft. You may use the questions below as a guide, or simply say what you want to say. Guru uses this in The Show, I thought we could also do it for RIBC AA League on ESPN this year.

1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?

2. What were your favorite picks? What picks would you like to do over?

3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?

4. What surprised you most about the draft?

5. If you could start the whole thing over, would you do anything differently?

Non-managers are also free to post comments or ask questions.

The reason why I killed the clock when I did is that my original plan was to start the clock on the 16th as normal. However, I saw the presser from the 15th that said something about 8 weeks. I also saw the quote from the Blue Jay executive that said that once baseball is restarted, the teams want four weeks of training before the season starts. Putting two and two together, I figured why start the clock again when its going to be mid June at the earliest before we start.

1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?

I took a seemingly experimental strategy for 12 team leagues and did a bunch of maths to plan it for the 16 team league with targets to hit in each category based on past results. Draft the best group of hitters (went 9 hitters before a pitcher) for most starting slots then go heavy on RPs - one look at my roster will tell you the hopeful endgame - I think it went well although I could have better save grabbers.

2. What were your favorite picks? What picks would you like to do over?

- Fav 1.06 Betts - I didnt want the best pitcher staring at me there and Cole went right before making this sweet

- Fav 14.11 Diego Castillo - More and more pitchers were going and I needed the SP/RP qualification. Had this guy marked from the start

- D/O - 9. Mitch Garver - My first planned relieve was Nick ANderson who went a few picks later, kind of started a snowball affect that kept me away from my IDEAL guys at RP but I salvaged. Also could have gotten a similar catcher a lot later in the draft.

3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?

- Montreal Knights and John Dowd seem to have very strong lineups. I would put heavy odds on them being the favorite at the moment.

4. What surprised you most about the draft?

- Harper falling
- Realmuto going as early as he did
- lots of familiar talent drafted late made me make mental notes for future drafts.
- Audrys Army holding out later than me for a first pitcher made me suspicious we had the same strategy. Looking at the end result I doubt it, but it definitely made me think.

5. If you could start the whole thing over, would you do anything differently?

- I would probably work in my pick selection into my overall strategy, as I just went with the flow and picked the next spot down.

1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?

My plan was to take best available player for the 1st few rounds and then go with position scarcity.

2. What were your favorite picks? What picks would you like to do over?

Favorite picks- Loved Lindor at 1.09, and Castillo at 5.09 and Upton at 16.08

Do over- I am not sure anything i would really do different except possibly grab a catcher earlier.

3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?

I like Wolfers team best other than mine-

4. What surprised you most about the draft?
No real surprises for me

5. If you could start the whole thing over, would you do anything differently?
I might have grabbed a top pitcher earlier in the draft.

1. Strategy
Basically just grab good projections, and picks players that fit in with my team's needs.

2. Picks
I grabbed Ohtani 69th because I felt he'd be gone by my next pick (92), and I've got a lot of faith in him piling on some stats.
I'm unsure about 293 Howie Kendrick - he's got a good projection, but I took him for cover mostly. My main concern is about how many games he'll play though. Similar concerns with 325 Jesse Winker.

3. Competition
R-Money got some luck going with the no-starter strategy in that no one followed him there. If two teams go that path, you can be screwed. I put him and Taxman as my two teams to worry about.

4. Surprises
I didn't really get my picks sniped until the 24th round, when Taxman took SP Alex Wood and RP Ross Stripling - both of whom I was hoping to get.
Also I didn't expect to take another C, but the timing seemed right in the 18th to steal Omar Narvaez. Having 2 catchers that can combine to fill 162 games with a decent stat-line can be a nice boost.

5. Anything different?
4 of my 6 picks from 11-16 were pitchers, and I should've grabbed an OF with one of those picks instead.

@Jeff - I also wanted Stripling and liked Narvaez.

Two Catchers might be the way to go if the league squeezes in double-headers like crazy to make up for the missed time.
