Quote of the day
"I can't worry about anybody else's team or solve the rest of the world's problems. That's not my job. ... We got a lot of other people that can do that." -- Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, when asked to comment on Randy Moss

Daily blurb
Kevin Durant owners, take heart. It took an overtime period, but Durant finally topped the 40 RSCP mark. He’s generally been scoring enough points this year, with at least 28 points scored in 4 of his 5 games. But his FG% of 37% is hurting his value, and his other stats have not been making up the difference – at least, not for a consensus #1 fantasy draft pick. Last night, he shot 46% from the field, with 11 rebounds & 3 blocks. Still not the overall stat line for the #1 player. But trending in the right direction.

One guy who hasn’t been disappointing his owners so far is Durant’s teammate Russell Westbrook. Westbrook only has one game below 40 TSNP, averaging 44 RSCP in just 36 minutes per game. His average stat line has been 22 pts, 6.6 assists, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, and shooting percentages of 42%/94%. The FG% may be his weakest stat, but it’s that same percentage that he shot all of last year, so it probably “is what it is.” That average stat line makes him worthy of a late first round fantasy draft pick, about a round earlier than he was actually drafted in the RIHC leagues.

Of course, the Oklahoma City season is only 5 games old. A month from now, the world could once again be in normal alignment. We’ll see.
