Quote of the day
"I've missed like 5,000 free throws. If I had at least hit half of those, then I would be at 30,000 right now. -- Shaquille OíNeal, after reaching the 28,000 career scoring mark
Danny Granger certainly hasnít progressed this year as many hoped he would. He was typically taken 4th or 5th in roto league drafts last fall. (Paul, LeBron, Wade were the top three, and Durant was often drafted 4th). But so far this year, he hasnít lived up to those expectations. Last season, he averaged 37 TSNP/game, and 39 TSNP/game over the final month of the season. This year, his season average is only 34 TSNP, and his last two outings have only combined for 26.5 TSNP. Heís also missed 16 games due to injury. Maybe heíll begin to put it together in the second half, but so far, consistency is a problem.
Do you think Monta Ellis has the green light to shoot? On Monday night, he scored 36 points, but took 39 FG attempts Ė and that doesnít count the attempts when he was fouled. Teammate Corey Maggette was much more efficient, needing only 15 shots to score 32. Right behind was Stephen Curry, scoring 26 on 18 attempts. All those bricks didnít hurt Montaís overall fantasy line, though, as he added 8 assists (he passed 8 times!) and 4 steals, good for 55.5 TSNP.

Ellis is definitely "the" star in Golden State for now but with the inane ways in which Nellie, um, "coaches', I wouldn't bet the farm on Ellis even being in the starting lineup by the time the season ends. ;>)|
And yes Guru, although it may somewhat comical that Ellis actually passed the ball and had 8 assists, it's was only because somebody else actually made the shot. Just think of how many he may have had, if all his passes turned into subsequent points! He may have had 10! ;)

Did ya'll know that last night D. Wade had ZERO rebounds? Maybe not earthshattering news but I find it to be newsworthy.
