Quote of the day
"Nobody would have thought when we came here 50 years ago that either one of us would have had the kind of success we've had. I'm so pleased and proud of him because he stuck with it. He's proven that he's one of the best coaches ever in college basketball, and he'll be No. 2 shortly." -- NBA Hall of Famer, current Detroit mayor, and former Jim Boeheim roommate Dave Bing, following Boeheim’s 900th career win as basketball coach of Syracuse

Daily blurb
The final two games of NFL Week #15 were quite a contrast. Sunday night’s 41-31 win by the 49ers in Foxboro was one of the most watchable games of the season. And then there was the Monday night game – about which the most favorable thing you can say is, “It was close.”

About 55% of Football Pickoff slates produced positive scores this weekend. The top score of +587 was by KDogHall, with 14 correct picks. He celebrated by going out and closing on his first house. I know this because he also happens to be my son.

The top two seeds in the RIFC both lost this weekend, setting up a championship game between the #5 and #6 seeds. The AA league has the same #5 vs #6 matchup. But in each of the AAA leagues, the top seed is still alive, with #1 vs #3 and #1 vs #7 matchups pending. Good luck to all.
