Quote of the day
"It's just one of those weeks. It happens." -- Tiger Woods, after finishing 65th (+8) at the Memorial Tournament

Daily blurb
It’s not often that Tiger Woods makes more important contributions to worst ball scoring in GuruGolf, but that was the case this week, with three double bogeys and two triple bogeys. Congrats to this week’s best ball winner, Gamecocks(-51), who was Tiger-free, and to worst ball winner Knights3(+63), who was not.

Scott Stallings finished 4th in the tournament, 6 strokes back. But he was clearly the most valuable GuruGolfer this week, carding 22 birdies and two eagles. By comparison, tournament winner Matt Kuchar had 20 birdies and no eagles, while runner-up Kevin Chappell had only 15 birds and 2 eagles. Stallings only found his way onto three GuruGolf foursomes this week, however. Kuchar was owned 49 times.

Today’s marquis event is game 7 of the NBA playoffs, which shapes up as a battle between the Pacers and LeBron James. Somehow the Big-3 have morphed into the Cleveland Cavaliers of several years ago. Imagine what a ratings bonzanza the NBA Finals will become if the Pacers somehow prevail and face the Spurs.
