…and with the end of the NFL regular season, RotoGuru.com is now "retired. " While the message forum will remain open for the foreseeable future, schedule and statistical coverage for NFL, MLB, and NBA will no longer be produced for the 2022 seasons and beyond. And while I have not yet made a final decision on Market Madness or Football Pickoff in 2022, it's likely that those contests will no longer be offered as well.

It's been a great run of 24+ years. I've made a lot of friends, and learned a lot about fantasy sports and website production. But my daily schedule is still full, and maintaining the site has become a chore with diminishing returns. The architecture of the site itself is woefully archaic, and I have no interest in rebuilding. When I started this venture, there were a limited range of resources available for fantasy sports analysis. Now, you can spit in any direction and probably hit fifteen. I'm proud of what I built here, but I'm also relieved to be able to move on.

Thanks to so many of you for your friendship, your financial and technical support, and your enthusiastic participation. I could not have pulled this off without all of you!

Thanks Dave! I've always enjoyed the tools you created. They were powerful in helping to optimize rosters/schedule but also easy to use.

Tremendous run and thank you for all that you have done. Passed down to my son but a market madness prize rotoguru sweatshirt is still worn proudly,

Enjoy your next adventures.

Since discovering Rotoguru in April 1999, I have been a daily visitor. The internet is a better place because of you. Thank you Dave, and enjoy your retirement.

Been a great run Dave and have loved playing your innovative games (esp Market Madness where I locked up the worst team honors one year and appreciated the t-shirt !!) and recommended it many times over the years.

Thanks and enjoy your time away from the site!

I just came to the website for the first time in a while to see what was going on. I first used this way back in '98 or '99. I think I had seen an article of yours somewhere and I started following this site. I was here all day for a couple years to help me manage my smallworld team. Then I'd come back for the contests. I'm still honored to be part of the rotoguru hall of fame. Good luck with everything!

"The architecture of the site itself is woefully archaic"...that quote slays me. Funny, my oldest kid (who wasn't old when I originally came here...) razes me about the "old man website". I call it classic.

Thanks Dave..been hanging with you @Rotoguru boards since the late 90's. Made many friends, enjoyed countless hours of fantasy sports and received far more in value than I contributed. Glad the site will stay up for a while.

To all my gurupie buddies.. take special cars of your health, physical and mental. See you on the flip side.

Thank you, Dave! My passion for fantasy sports was due in large part to the community that was created by these boards. You created what "social media" has always wished it could be and, to this day, I have never found a community as authentic and sincere as this one. Your work clearly inspired my creation of fantasy sports tools and draft software and I appreciate the support you and the entire community have always provided. I hope you enjoy every moment of your future beyond this site because you deserve it. Congratulations!

Back for the first time in a while to say “thanks Guru!” I still am proud of winning the RIFC in 2006 and am grateful for all the great times exploring fantasy sports strategy. I will continue to use my mug proudly!

Best to you Dave and to everyone else that helped make this a wonderful place.

Despite the fact that I stopped playing fantasy sports years ago and never was an active member of the forum, I still stop by this site a few times a year to check on it. I first started coming here as a young high school kid in the late 90s playing fantasy baseball. I still remember sitting in Geography class mapping out my Smallworld "Randro" strategies on paper and would always look forward to seeing what was posted when I got home from school.

Market Madness, GuruGolf, and the Football Pick'em were the absolute best games on the internet, and the various fantasy leagues run through the forums were the most competitive. Thank you for all that you did to make this a great community.

I would come here once/year for the Madness. Dave, this is the best March Madness tournament ever invented, and remains so. Thanks you for everything.

Thank you, Dave, for all you do!
Market Madness was always the 'thinking man's bracket game' and your other sports info and games were top notch - best wishes to you and yours going forward 👍

Farewell and thank you! I sincerely miss market madness this year, especially since I’ve hit 28/32 on my bracket. Haha.

Fantasy sports analytics before they were cool.

Thanks to whomever spammed the Smallworld forums 20-some years ago that got me in here at the time…

Enjoy and thanks again!

Thanks, Dave! I came for Smallworld and stayed for the community. I appreciate all you did for the Gurupies and am happy you're getting out of this business to focus on other things. 24 years is a long time to engage in anything, let alone a hobby that is this much work. So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Thanks, Dave. Like darkside, I too found the site through SmallWorld and stayed for the relationships and bonus games like the Invitational leagues, Football Pickoff, Guru Golf, and Market Madness.

Miencwitskie to you, sir.

Stay hard, keep jamming, and we'll see ya.

Been a long time, but thought I'd "pop in" and see what's what.

You ran this site Dave, a LOT longer than most similar sites managed to survive. Kudos to you for that, and a heartfelt thank-you for the many, MANY hours of enjoyment you brought to us all.

BOL in whatever you do next!

Thank you Dave for everything you did over 2 decades. I still remember finding this forum in the 90s my highschool freshman year. The knowledge I gained from here about fantasy sports was amazing. I am forever grateful to be a gurupie.
