Guru,
Since SmallWorld will be starting a Stock Car Challenge game by Daytona next year, any chance of a separate group for strategy on this as well as other NASCAR online games?

VIDevilRays - Yea that me! Not a big Basketball fan so I thought I would give golf and auto racing try. As soon as we see some results from testing we can start a little discussion.
Right off the top of my head.... you need to watch Dodges return. I think NASCAR will give them less spoiler and such to make sure they are competitive. France wants the fans in the stands! Should be interesting to see what they do in early testing.

I will try to get around to putting up a separate NASCAR forum in the near future. In the meantime, feel free to use this area.

If you have any suggestions for links to put in the second dropdown menu for the NASCAR forum, feel free to list them here.

Thanks Tom. Appreciate it and good to see someone else survive the "Brazilian experience". lol!.
What is the significance of the testing? And what does it mean for Ricky Rudd?

Guru, I'm a novice at this but Fanball seems to have some extensive coverage. I would wait until someone with a bit more expertise chimes in first before listing it, however.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how the Dodges do. Being a Ward Burton fan (i think it's required of Cat employees), I hope it doesn't hurt his success from last year. I have heard very little of their progress - probably due to being only a peripheral fan. I have joined the belly division, though, to give it a shot.

Anyone have any news on the Dodges?

CNNSI, Sandbox, CBS, and ESPN will have free games coming up.

Sandbox offered 3 games last year, a salary cap game, pick'ems H2H, and one called "Racing the Past" where you had to pick whether the driver would beat their race results from the prior year.

I'm not sure what they'll be offering this year, but they've had Nascar games the past 2 years and ESPN's game has been running at least 3 years. I'll post links when they become available.

CBS has posted a link to their sign up page: CBS Fantasy Racing

Since I'm still around, I'll beat Tom to the punch and put up Wednesday's testing results. Take these test results with a HUGE grain of salt - no one's going to show too much power because they're afraid of getting their advantage kicked out before they can use it. I assure you, they'd rather change AFTER Daytona.

Wednesday Dodge Testing

I agree Beezer, they are not showing everything. Everham said that the first time through tech would be with a lot of bondo and tape. They test again around Jan 26th at Talladega(sp). Should be interesting to see what happens.

Tom

PS - your chart looks much nicer than my list!!!

Top four Bonus Points drivers last year:
Jeff Burton - 135
Rusty Wallace - 135
Labonte - 120
Mayfield - 100

Just food for thought!

Don't put too much stock into the test results, alot of times teams could only be testing one part of the car. And as Tom said they're not going to show everything they have. The only test results I would look at would be Dodge, as none of their drivers ran too well. Watch their test runs at the end of the month.
