0 Subject: Jarrett or Gordon?

I made the mistake of moving out Gordon for Jarrett last week (a mistake only in hindsight, I suppose), since I saw how Jarrett has done at the Rock and Las Vegas.

It cost me plenty last week, and I feel that Gordon is a good long-term hold since he is a high placer when he finishes. My only real trade choices are Gordon or Jarrett because of cost. At this point, which one guy would you guys go with?

Pro-Jarrett: Good history at Las Vegas, might continue his price gains. Probably will only improve upon his finish at the Rock. Trading back into Gordon will mean (in essence) a waste of two trades.

Pro-Gordon: Good finisher, good history at Las Vegas. A threat to win every weekend. Can move into him with just one trade.

Thanks for your comments.

Taking a look at the average schedule using 4-year stats shows the following average finishes for the next 3 races:

Gordon:
LAS: 12.2 (4 races)
ATL: 10.0 (8)
DAR: 9.1 (8)

Jarrett:
LAS: 15.0 (4)
ATL: 9.2 (8)
DAR: 8.2 (8)

Personally, I would hold. There isn't a significant enough difference between Gordon and Jarrett in the averages to use the trade, IMO. Last week can be chalked up to "one of those things." Unfortunately, It's going to happen sometimes.

Until Gordon gets really hot, I wouldn't make the move, just to make it.
Would live with Jarrett(who I do own and will be holding).

Thanks guys. No clear advantage to making the move now, I suppose. Appreciate the advice.

PD, looks like you decided to hold. Jarrett looks good for the next two at Atlanta and Darlington.

DJ's car didn't look worth a darn during qualifying, fwiw.

All right, for no particular reason than a hunch, I made the move. Like every trade I make I already regret it, ha. But JG is a long-term hold, so it'll allow me to conserve that top spot, and if DJ drops like I expect I may be able to move into him later.

PD, I joined you and traded Jarrett off both teams I had him on. Watching Jarrett's interview yesterday, after qualifying, left me with the opinion they are going to have to have a bunch of luck to make his car competitive.

Traded Jarrett for some Busch!
