TSN, I think you may have a freeze issue with last week where mulitple freezes were taken that allowed people to make multiple trades after the race was over.

Check out the four shots for one team....

Freeze with table id = 0

Freeze with table id = 1 This is my guess at his original team it looks right for him.

Freeze with table id = 2 This is the team that he was scored for, because the numbers match up to the total on the division page.

Freeze with table id = 3 This team is 62 points short of what is shown on the divsion page. Ward Burton is 62 points higher then Jimmie Johnson.

I know that the trades weren't always shown correctly but this reaks of foul play. And yes it is possible that he dropped the guy that won the race for another this early in the week. He wouldn't have unless the page was still showing unlimited trades. Which I remember was still being shown on Sunday morning. Any chance someone could look into this. His team id is 8857. The guy that is in second also seems to have done something similar, his id is 7502.

Just start at the top of the leader board and go through each team, look at changing their table id's in the URLs. I'd say just about everybody up there did some moving AFTER THE RACE was over. I think table id = 1 is the correct one and should be the one scored. It seems to make the most sense based on qualifying and who has been the hot drivers before this week. Kinda upset at myself that I didn't notice until too late....no, no I am not, I wouldn't do that. But it needs to be looked at, and if so fixed. I will apologize and shut my mouth if I'm wrong. But Mamma always said if it smelled like..., then it might be.

The guy in second already has used more trades then we started with between table id 2(the one scored) and his current roster (3). Sure buying trades is possible. But this was the guy that is in first right away, so you think he would wait until qualifing to make any moves.

Tend to agree with slosh on this because Monday morning, before the points were posted, my teams all appeared unfrozen and it was definitely on unlimited trades although I didn't make any trades to verify this situation.

I noticed the same thing, Chal. I thought maybe I was a week off in thinking of when Season 2 started. Next thing I know, I've got points.

Anyone email TSN on this?
Wish I would have noticed that, my team could use some help.

I just emailed some people at TSN and referenced this thread. It's funny though, these things always seem to happen when Eric's on vacation. lol

This was the problem they had the first year they tried NASCAR. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of the loophole in the trades and spent much of the season wondering how the other managers were just so darn good.

I didn't find out until the next year that you could make trades after the "freeze."

When I looked at the top teams yesterday, I couldn't believed anyone would take Burton at his price to start the season and just figured since TSN was not showing the up-to-date NASCAR points for Season 2 and Ward's unlucky season, that maybe they lucked out. But it appears now we have a Paul Harvey ending.....And now you know the rest of the story.

It appears that team 8857 is no longer in the lead, dropping to 343. However, since he/she appears to me to have used 2 trades, into Jeff Green & Ward Burton, shouldn't he/she have zero trades? (still showing 2 trades) I can't see his team so I don't know this, but I also think the 2 drivers he trade into should remain on his team.

Team 7502 is now ranked 14,962. It really appears he reworked his team to achieve that top status. Yet, he still has 2 trades.

Now I can't see the trade history, just using slosh's links above, so I don't know when the trades where actually performed, but if these trades were actually performed after the roster was supposed to be frozen, as the time and day stated in the rules, then at least should lose those trades. IMHO

SWEET!!! I got moved from 79th to 31st place because of all this. Not like I'll stay there long or anything. ;)

Anyhow, I was also wondering how those people up top managed to pick the likes of W.Burton. Especially considering his recent results. I can understand people like "burtonfan22" who is in 4th place, but beyond that, there was no reason to pick Wad.

Of my 3 teams which did so poorly, I only remember one teams ranked and it moved up 300 spots.

Yup things have sorta cleared up and I do know the whole truth. Wish TSN would come back here and confirm/deny things and explain their response to the problem.

He admitted to it after I confronted him with his original team, the one that's showing now. He has showed me his trade history and it appears that table_id = 1 was a snapshot taken on saturday @7pm like it was supposed to, but it didn't freeze the trades or rosters. Table_id = 2 was taken at 7pm on sunday and was the set used to score points for the weekend, but it didn't appear to freeze the trades. Not sure exactly when table_id = 3 was taken, but it was sometime after 7 because that is when he made the last move to dump burton and get JJ.

Looks like all ~20 teams that scored the 981 did it post race changes as they are all gone now. I think everbody has gotten to keep their trades, cause it looks like the teams were all just reset to the save point on Saturday @7pm.

My question to TSN is why didn't anybody look at the FIRST freeze of the season? I would think that someone would what to make sure things start running right from the beginning. It was real obvious that something was wrong when rosters were not being displayed and it still said unlimited trades available.

Finally found something on the site, a half truth posted under the Contact Us on the left side...

Important Note July 23rd: We experienced some scoring problems with the last race. Scores are being retabulated to reflect these problems. Some managers were able to score for teams that were entered after the roster freeze deadline. Please log in and review your scores this afternoon.
