Those former Miss Winston's will do it to you. ;) To make things worse for McMurray, she gave up her crown this year (she was the current Miss Winston) when he took Marlin's ride for the rest of the year. So not only does she have a claim on 1/2 his stuff, she can also claim the "career I never had because I devoted my life to Jamie by giving up my reign as Miss Winston." We should archive this thread and revisit it in about 4-5 years. :) | ||||||

Gave up her crown?? Let me get this straight: Jamie takes over Sterling's ride, and therefore he needs her to devote all her time to him now? Here's a news flash, Sweetie, now is when he DOESN'T need you around. This guy has to concentrate only on being the best driver for that team, if he wants to advance is this business. The crew has plenty of Rigid and Snap-On and Craftsman calendars around the garage to look at without you distracting them. On a more serious note, who will take over all the indispensible duties of a Miss Winston? Who will all the young nicotine addicts look up to now? How will Winston get the good word out without the proper eye candy? I'm assuming that Winston was smart enough to have a plan for this, just in case Miss Winston reaches her goal and snags a young driver. You have to wonder if the transition of the reign to the runner-up was smooth. I can see it now; The Miss Winston representatives walk into Hooters, and instead of getting a table, they inform Candy of her good fortune. Joy, tears, lots of hugs from the other Hooters girls as they see their friend off to her new career. I'm sorry, I can't go on. | ||||||

rugg, she had to give up her crown because NASCAR doesn't allow Miss Winston to be "involved" with Winston Cup drivers while she's holding the title. So, she either had to break up with Jamie, or give up her crown. I guess her giving up the crown shows that it's true love... or something. As for who takes over Miss Winston, I'm sure it was the 2nd place girl. You know, the one where they say, "If the winner cannot continue her duties as Miss Winston, or croaks from too much second-hand smoke inhalation..." | ||||||
