I was wondering if you were playing the NASCAR.com games again this year. I seem to recall you kicking my butt in their salary cap game last year. I was in a different Ultimate league IIRC and enjoyed my results a little better in that game.
I was checking links and found the NASCAR.com games are still free and didn't know if you were interested in playing or had joined a league, or if not, there was enough interest to create one (whew).
The Ultimate game is an auction style draft which is different (to me). I do know it takes 6 to have a draft and play. I don't believe you can change leagues once you join one which is why I'm posting here before looking into a league any further.
Verizon DSL only lets me on the internet during daylight hours due to the vampire tap on my line, I'll check back before dark or in the AM.

I tried it one season but wasn't really excited by it. I'll give it a try if you are looking for managers--let me know.
What's a "vampire line"? Only daytime use?

Yeah, they've got to "re-engineer" my DSL line so I'm daytime only until 2/24. Bunch of BS IMO.
I created an Ultimate league. You only need the league password to join and when 6 teams are in, the auction starts. Password to join is SCHRO36523
If it doesn't fill in time, it'll open up to the public so we'll still be able to play.
It seems the salary cap game is 9.95 this year, so I'll be "passing" on the right.
Feel free to invite anyone to play PD.

I've only played a couple of auction style draft games over the years. It's certainly a different way to draft players/drivers.

I'm going to release the league and open it to a "public" status around noon CT if no other gurupies are interested in joining us.
The draft will start as soon as the league fills up. Guess I'd better go read some rules and see how long it'll take.

I picked 4 drivers and was happy with Michael Waltrip when niaracer decided to try and slip in 10 min before the draft was to end and outbid me.
He should have covered Jeff Gordon with a little more cash as paybacks a bitch.

Looks like he was locked into the first four drivers he bid on. He probably wasn't expecting all those bids to go uncontested. Too many guys no-showed (the 'pub' guys it looks like) :( Kenseth and Martin weren't even bid on!

Hard to believe some guys can forget about a draft they joined just one day earlier, but what can ya do. Can't complain about my team, but there wasn't much of an auction to speak of, which was disappointing.

They're all free agents now. You can change drivers up until 10AM(?) tomorrow morning.
Pick the "League View" on the right side of the Team page and "Free Agents" is a subset of the Fantasy League link.

I locked in too early. Should have bid more for Gordon.
Future ROY Casey Mears was looking very good to me, but I should not have locked in all 4 too early. Oh well.
