Since it appears there's going to be alot of NASCAR movement in the way of driver changes, how about a generic thread. :)

Newest change:

Skinner released by McClure

Guess Skinner's failure to qualify last weekend was the final straw. Skinner with this team seem at times to be ever so close to breaking thru. Yet, he was also full of rotten accident luck. So I have mixed emotions on this firing. As the article stats, the leading caniadate to replace Skinner...........You guess it ....Andretti. What was it Doris Day used to say? kay something or rather.

Personally I think Steve Park should be the next one to go. I don't know if its from his accident last year, but how many races since he's been back has he not been a part of? Maybe like 3 races total without anything. I mean if he was taking himself out each week it would be better than him causing other drivers to get out of the race.

Also is it Todd Bodine that is without a sponsor now after Hooters said yesterday was their last race?

Brett Bodine lost the Hooters sponsorship.

Steve Park's average finish from last year and this year is a paltry 26.8085. John Andretti is actually ahead of him with a 25.9400. The only full-time non-rookie drivers with a worse average finish than Park since the beginning of last year are:
Todd Bodine (26.9487)
Jerry Nadeau (27.4737)
Ken Schrader (27.8235)
Mike Skinner (28.5000)

That said, I'm not sure a change of teams won't help Park. I would hesitate to drop him before the end of the year so that he at least had a chance to find a groove with his new crew and see what they can do.

Personally, I think the next to go should/could be Spencer, Mayfield, and W.Burton. All have underachieved and new blood may be the answer.

Sprague Out

Andretti picks up the ride for the next 2 races.

All I can say is, "IT'S ABOUT TIME!"

If there was a stat for the number of cars hit in a season, I believe Sprague would set the record!! He brings to mind the Dale Sr. comment about Dale Jr. in a race where he told his crew to have Jr. park it (the car) since he's hit everything but the tow truck or something to that effect.

Actually, I think it would be pretty hard to be Buckshot Jones' record. ;)
