0 Subject: Video Card Overheating

Posted by: SuperPower - [09562413] Tue, Oct 26, 2004, 04:34

My ATI Sapphire Radeon 9600SE card is overheating when i run games on my pc. I just got an arctic cooling fan for the card but i cant figure out how/where to connect the 2 pin power plug. There is no where on the video card to put it. The cooling fan states it is compatible with this card, but im at a loss on how to do it.
Im running an AMD Athlon 2000+, 512mbRAM.

Any other suggestions on how to cool down my case would be appreciated.

Thanks,

SuperPower(a lurker)

If there is no connector on the motherboard you can always find 12 volts either on the power supply or the motherboard and connect it there manually.

Try throwing some water on it.

Pretty soon they will be putting gasoline into computers.

For what reason, I don't know, but they will think of one.

The 9600SE should have a 2pin power plug for a fan. If your card looks anything like this one then the power plug is shown in the first and third pictures.
