I believe the wildtangent is installed when you play games on yahoo.

It is indeed a game plug-in. I know you have to click to accept it when it installs at the start of particular games, but beyond that, I don't know anything about it. My guess is that it's not doing anything harmful as far as spying on your system or such.

I have PestPatrol on my home computer and it identifies Wild Tanget as a "pest" for whatever that is worth.

I think I had to download Wild Tangent Driver to play "MSN" games not "Yahoo" games.

It's a game specific plug-in. Various games on MSN, Yahoo, Shockwave, and many other sites use the plug-in. From what I remember, it's a 3D rendering engine for the games, so you likely installed it when playing a game that was more 3D than your typical game.
