Sorry for asking such a basic question in this forum but how do you do things in threads like:
1. Italicize items 2. Bold items 3. Pictures
Any help would be cool,

Last is easy:
Go to the web site in question, and copy the address into your clipboard.
Come back here, click on the link below the response box which says "Click here to create and insert a link"
A box will come up, asking you to insert the link. Do it and press enter.
A second box will come up, asking you to give it a name. Do that and click enter.
The link will be pasted at the bottom of the response box.

Last first: At the bottom of the page, Guru has put a great little feature entitled "Click here to create and insert a link."
1. text - replace [ with < 2. same as above, but with b instead of i. 3. - replace [ with <

To start with, when you see a square bracket ([ or ]), that should be replaced with a < or a >.
Italics = Italics
Bold = Bold
Underline = Underline
Indented text =
[blockquote]
Type type type
Blah blah blah
[/blockquote]
Type type type
Blah blah blah
To post an image, first you have to find a host for it. For example, the link to DPS's logo is http://www.deadparrots.net/media/parrot_logo.gif. To have this show up on the webpage:
A link? Click the "Click here to create and insert a link" right below the window that you type the message in. Follow the directions.

Superscript = [sup]Superscript[/sup]
Change font size. = Change font size. (Can also use negative numbers.)
Change font color = Change font color (The color has a two character base-16 number representing each of Red, Green, and Blue in that order.)

Centered text = Centered text
Unordered list: [ul] [li] Item #1 [li] Item #2 [li] Item #3 [/ul]
Ordered list: [ol] [li] Item #1 [li] Item #2 [li] Item #3 [/ol]
- Item #1
- Item #2
- Item #3
Horizontal rule:
(The size is the thickness, the width is the amount of the screen it takes up. As a general rule it is good to use a percent and not a fixed number, as the percent will automatically resize it as the window size changes.)

What about changing a picture size? I have a .JPG for the forum, but it's big and I'd like to whittle it down to Rotoguru thread width.
Thanks.

Adjust via percentages or pixels (leave off '%' symbol).
