Subject: Removing Programs??

I'm trying to remove AOL 8.0, but when I go to the uninstall option in windows, it is telling me that an error occured and the program may already be uninstalled... It's still on my hard drive and if I still had a log in it would work.
I was thinking of just deleting the AOL directory, but when I hit delete on it, I get a message that says deleting the files could affect other programs.... So I'm not inclined to do it... Any ideas? |

Are you going through Control Panel to add or remove programs?
If you are and that is not working, your best option may be to reinstall AOL 8.0 and then uninstall it.

Chuck, yes going through the control panel.. I could try to reinstall, but I don't think I have a disk any longer....
PD - Is their a seperate Uninstaller, not on the control panel? I really am a novice here....

There should be an uninstaller in the AOL folder. Use that first, then clean up with another cleanup program after a reboot.
