this came up in my adaware log as malware...

does anyone know what ad destroyer is, if i want it, and if not, how to get rid of it...

Tree, looks like somebody had something similar here - though with XP. If you dig around this forum, you may find something to help, but sounds like this one is ugly. Or maybe you could post your problem there - not sure if it's free or not, but it used to be and they've helped me figure out some stuff before.

Pretty much everything they do recommends running adaware and spybot, then running hijackthis and posting the log - perhaps more involved than you want, but maybe necessary if things are nasty enough. As they caution, just be careful not to royally screw something up by messing with the registry. Good luck!
