Subject: Windows XP Hotfix (Add or Remove Programs)

I have a feeling that the "Hotfix" are the occasional updates provided from Microsoft.
Under Add & Remove programs, they all show up. When sorted by "size" they are all listed without a size. I am wondering if these are necessary to keep on the computer or if they are things that, once downloaded can be deleted.
If anyone has info on this, it would be much appreciated. |

You'll want to leave those in. Those are your OS or App fixes for their product vulnerabilities (therefore you should have a ton of them...), most likely security vulnerabilities.
Basically, these are the patches that get installed from www.windowsupdate.com.
If you want to see what each of those mean, try looking up the number here.
