so, Norton Internet Security is doing some weird things. it seems to shut down for no reason - it turns off, and then when i go to turn it back on, it won't indicate to me that it's back on, until i reboot.
is there any sort of malware that could be doing this? |

Tree..there are several security systems software out there that are better then Norton..not only that they are free..Norton has a history of causing problem as well as fixing them...As above I would recommend AVG Anti Virus and along with that Zone Alarm Firewall..both free..lots of spyware, adware and Malware progams that are execllent and free of charge..Spyware Blaster, Spyware Guard..Ad-aware SE Personal, Spybot Search and Destroy,Microsoft Anti-spyware if your running XP..If you really want to rid yourself of all that crap..go to majorgeeks.com..go to the support forum and read..under Spyware..it's a great site with great software avaliable..lots of it free...
