I use Eudora 6.2 for my mail. Anyone know of a good email filter I can use with Eudora? Supposedly it comes with a "Junk" feature but I've never gotten it to work, and spam is a constant pain in my neck.

Spam Monitor 2.5 will work with Eudora..it has a free trial so you can see how it works..

http://www.pctools.com/spam-monitor/?ref=mgsm

if that doesn't work just type Spam Monitor 2,5 in your search and load it from there

I tried the above and a few others, but basically they just marked the messages as spam and kept them in my inbox. 90% of the spam I already knew as spam just in looking at the sender or subject.

Eudora, however, lead me to spamnix.com, which has a free 30 day trial of their spam blocker. You have to tell it what messages are spam the first bit of time, but because I get so much spam after the second day the program "learned" with about 80-85% accuracy, and now (two weeks later) it's getting about 99% of the spam.

It puts it into a "Junk" mailbox for later review, and I've had maybe 5-10 messages put in there because of the language or subject of message was "spammy" but after you tell it that a message is not junk it no longer flags from that email address so it really does learn.

I'm awaiting the end of my trial period, but I'm certainly signing up to keep it active. I'd certainly recommend the product for anyone using Eudora.
