well, it suddenly stopped working. i ran a mess of things to clean off my computer as it had some infections, and now i can't figure out why it wont work.
for example - the think at the bottom of this post that says "click here to create and insert a link"? nothing happens when i click that.

You mean JavaScript, not Java ;-)
What browser do you use?
In Firefox you can turn on JS in "Tools -> options -> WebFeatures". In Internet Explorer i can tell you only the translation fo the german notions. Try "extras -> options -> security -> adjust level (or somtehing similar on the bottom). There you can turn on "active scripting".
Maybe this helps.

The same problem (running Foxfire) and went to "Tools -> options -> WebFeatures--and it said it was already on. Oh, well...

Tree - try going to java.com and the right side click on java software download. I find that doing that fixes almost all java issues

For those using Firefox: javascript issue
I'm not sure what version 1.03 does, but if you have an earlier version maybe it's best you keep jscript disabled.

I can't get a Java application to work in any of my browers... the following error is popping up. Trying to play NES games on NES _ Gunsmoke I've used for quite some time now its not working.
Ideas?
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: AppletGui at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadCode(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletPanel.createApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin.AppletViewer.createApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletPanel.runLoader(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

the server behind it is down. looking at the source of that page I see 2 links: the java program and the ROM. both are currently not working. because the name of the java program is AppletGui aboves error is shown.
I guess you either have to wait until the site is working again or download a NES-emulator and the ROMs from any of the (illegal?) sites out there.

Thanks for the investigation!

I found that connector you were looking for Cindy, is this the thing you were looking for? www.liangdianup.com/computeraccessories_1.htm
It's on the list of computer accessories and parts. They have the DVI video thing to convert that jap monitor to work with your other computer. Just about any other kind of wire adaptor, usb connectors, monitor extension wires, ps2 extention wires, and all kinds of female and male swap connectors and things that I think would help your shop. If that above link don't work then goto www.lducompany.com and click on computer accessories. Let me know if that is what you need and give me your email address again.
