I am at my inlaws house and they have a gateway comp. The power button broke and fell down inside the casing. I have tried to take the casing off to get it out, but I cant seem to get the front off. I dont know if I am missing a screw somewhere, or can you just not take the front off? Any help would be appriciated. Thanks.

What type of case? What year?

Mine doesn't need screws. There are two friction handles you push away from eachother in the back that releases the side panel.

it is a year 2000 there were a few screws in the back to release the side and top panels. Those are all off, but the front wont come off.

My parents have one. Once you have off the sides you should be able to pop it off with little push in tabs I believe.

Dunno. I have never needed to take the front panel off.

Try a hammer. ;)
