0 Subject: Laptop / Bluetooth question

I have a Dell D600 with wireless card and i just bought a Treo 650 mobile phone which has Bluetooth capability. I purchased the unlimited monthly data package for the Treo from Verizon.

My question is this: I believe it is possible to connect my laptop to the Treo so I can connect to the Internet anywhere I can get a verizon signal. Is this correct? And if so, what hardware (software) do i need to purchase to connect the two? I assume sort of a connector from the phone to the laptop where the card is or a USB connection?

Also, does anyone else have any experience with the quality of asignal set up like this? IE is it fast? Or more like "dial up" timing?

Thanks for any advice.

There was a cell phone thread that had some links in it and one was about the 650.
Also, a forum that might help.

Cell Phone Thread

Also, let me look later in the tech Forum on my RV Forum.
Always alot of info there on connecting using your cell phone.

And, two of the other RV forums have had discussions.

Thansk GL, but I didn't see anything in that thread specific enough for me.

I think the device I need is called a dongle and conencts via USB port.

is your palm DUN-enabled? details are here. it seems that it depends on your service provider if this is enabled or not. if it is enabled go with it, if not there is a hack to enable it. I don't know if you want to use that hack or not because it is always a risk.

I also found a list of currently available updates. unfortunately not for verizon.
