For some reason, my printer wont print the text that i request. When i hit print, it prints some type of mumbo jumbo. Kinda looks like foreign text or something. Anyway to make it simple. It prints but not the text that i send through. Even test pages. And it keeps printing the mumbo jumbo until i shut the printer down. Any idea?

The same mumbo jumbo, or maybe it's just mistranslating the font and it's different m-j each time?

Have you tried rebooting your computer?

well, if the gobbly gook is different when you print different documents, then it's probably mistranslating (in some way).

If it's always printing out the same nonsense then it's another problem.

Is this a new printer? Still have the install drivers on a disk or CD? Maybe the way to start is by re-installing the drivers.

What model printer is it?

i've tried rebooting. it's an old printer. canon bjc 250. always worked fine though. i have not used it in forever. i'll check the googly googg stuff to see if it's different each time. i've never had to reinstall drivers as i used this one with 3 different cpu's.

but the thing is, if i print this page, it's gonna print some gocky stuff. If i go to word and type the letter A. it's gonna print infinite pages of gocky stuff.

Can't hurt to re-install it, then reboot. A copy of the driver is here. See what happens.

Just sounds like its printing with the wrong drivers. Delete the printer and then re-add it.

Also check both ends of the printer cable. Reseat them, loose or not.
