0 Subject: Firefox 1.5 - low virtual memory

I need some help here.

I use Firefox 1.5 and it worked fine for awhile. Over the last few weeks, however, after I've been online for a few hours, Windows pops up a window that warns me that my computer is low on virtual memory and that it is trying to create more (or something like that). So, I went to the task manager and looked at the virtual memory and sure enough, Firefox is using a huge amount of virtual memory.

Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

This is due to Firefox caching pages. Firefox 1.5 holds pages you've rendered in memory to make back-forward browsing faster. You can read more about it here. As the article states, it's a trade-off. With the problems you're experiencing, I'd do what the article states and set the number of pages cached to 0 to disable the feature.
