I was sent a Audio Book (283.0 MB) is there any way to break this down to fit on to CD-R's?
Can this be done on Windows Media player?
Thanks

Is the CD-Rom empty? If not, erase what's on there. If it's supposed to be you can re-format it, which should set things straight.

Ok. Got it downloaded. But it only plays on Windows Media player. Wont work in car. ;(

Can I do anything beside take LapTop on the road with me.

Is it because it @ 48kbps, 166mb, and over 8hr long?

THanks for any help

You need a program that will allow you to break audio files into pieces. You can usually only fit 70-80 minutes on a CD in a format that a car CD player will be able to handle.

I have a program called "Goldwave" (Digital Audio Editor) that would do the trick. You can get a fully functional evaluation version for free. http://www.goldwave.com/

Just open the file, and then select 70 minute (or whatever fits) chunks and save them as mp3 or wav files. Your regular CD burner should be able to save those pieces on CDs.

Alot of cd players will not play burned cd's. They also might need to be a .wav file and not mp3

Make sure you are burning it as an audio CD and not a data cd. I doubt if your car stereo is able to play files from data CDs.

Got it to work!!!! :)
Did it as a WAV and its playing in the car.
Also moved it from HighMAT Audio to Audio cd.
Not sure if its one or both. But thank you very much.

A $10 Donation is on its way.
