Subject: Blue Screen - Device Stop Error

Anyone familiar with this error? It most commonly occurs for me when IE is open. You get a blue screen, auto restart and the error reporting indicates a Device Stop Error. I've been getting this on an IBM T43. IBM's support was unhelpful and CDW will look at it if I leave my laptop with them for at least 2 business days which I can't do.
Anyway, I'm not expecting a full diagnosis, but does anyone know what some of the common culprits could be? |

no clue, but I have this forum to be quite helpful with any number of issues I've had in the past...

Might take a day or two for a meaningful response, but they've helped me through many a dilemma.

Right click on My Computer amd choose properties. Go to Advanced and click on Start up and recovery. Under system failure uncheck the auto restart option. Then next time you get the blue screen. post the exact error you are getting.
