0 Subject: Intel desktop utility error

Posted by: Flash - [538172114] Thu, Sep 21, 2006, 15:28

Hello: I am having a problem with new build. I am running an Intel D945PSN MB with a D950 dual core processor. I loaded (Windows XP Pro) operating system, current updates, cmos updates, Audio and Lan updates, and other driver updates as per intel requirements. The final update was Intel Desktop Utilities. When the program tries to load I get the following error (Service Program Not active). Anyone have a solution to this issue. Thanks so much for the help.

i would just remove the program. it does not effect anything and it will only slow down your machine.

This program monitors case temp, CPU temp, regulates fan speed and supplies early warning signals of pending problems. I hope to get it working.I have found several other posts indicating this is a common problem but I have been unable to find the solution. Intel say's that its a driver problem but is unable to tell me where to look. Thanks for the reply.

I am getting Service Program Not Active, when I disabled service AdminWorks Agent X6 (file C:\Program Files\Intel\IDU\awServ.exe). When iptray.exe starts it can't find in memory Agent X6 and give us Service Program not active and closes himself.

i would just remove it from start up or remove it intirely from the system. most of these programs they give you do aid your system in anyway and just eat up resources.
