Subject: Speaker Help

Don't know if any of you can help me out on this. Im trying to hook up my brothers old speakers to my computer. its a subwoofer and two speakers. I know one speaker hooks right into the subwoofer. The other speaker has purple and a green connectors and a red one that i put in the red hookup on the subwoofer. On the back of my computer, there are green, yellow, pink hookups. I can't get it to work.

I've got a similar set of speakers. The subwoofer needs to be plugged in with an AC adapter - I then have one cable (with an orangish color) that goes from the speaker to the subwoofer. The other cable from the speaker (with a green connector) goes to the green speaker slot in the back of the computer. Maybe your purple connector goes from one speaker to the other?
