Everytime I startup my laptop, in order to get onto the internet through my wireless router, I have to right click on that wireless connection icon and click on "view available wireless network"
Then I have to "Change advanced settings"
then I always have to click the "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings".
For whatever reason, that doesn't seem to save that setting whenever i reboot. Today I got frustrated and brave and thought I'd try and "fix" it. I have something called Atheros Client Utility on here that I have no clue how to use. I figured if I disabled that program, maybe that would make it so I don't have to go through this everytime. Well, I made it worse. Now I cant connect to my router wirelessly. However, if I plug my computer into the router...it works fine. Just annoying. And my roommate can connect with her laptop just fine. So what did I do to my computer and how can I get back to being able to connect wirelessly?

I'm not running xp anymore so, but in vista, there is a checkbox to remember the network once you connect to it.

Try the steps outlined Here or Here to set up automatic wireless network configuration.

I found that connector you were looking for
Cindy, is this the thing you were looking for?
www.liangdianup.com/computeraccessories_1.htm

It's on the list of computer accessories and parts. They have the DVI video thing to convert that jap monitor to work with your other computer. Just about any other kind of wire adaptor, usb connectors, monitor extension wires, ps2 extention wires, and all kinds of female and male swap connectors and things that I think would help your shop. If that above link don't work then goto www.lducompany.com and click on computer accessories. Let me know if that is what you need and give me your email address again.
