Not sure what happened. I installed MyIE2 yesterday (forget who recommended it) and my first reboot since then came today and now my regular IE6 browswer won't load.
I get the following critical errors.
Error #1

actually its labeled an illegal operation with the stupid popup box that makes IE close up.
I can access the browser by right clicking the IE icon and choosing "explore". But that's the only way. Double clicking causes the error. Right click on a link and choose "open in a new window" causes the same error.

I think I recommended that browser on this site. I never came close to getting an error like the one you just got.
That browser runs on the Internet Explorer core engine so you shouldn't be having any problems if IE was working for you previously.
It's a damn good browser. I have Windows XP and the thing installed perfectly.

I dont' get it. MyIE2 runs fine. But if it runs off IE how is it working without the same errors?

I don't get it either. Some obscure setting on IE is probably screwing it up.

Go to add/remove programs for Internet Explorer and try repair or restore to previous version.

This might be worth a look. From the MyIE2 forum site.

Not sure what operating system you have but here is a link on running the repair of internet explorer from a command prompt. Microsoft document
If you have XP do this instead. Click on start-->Run type "sfc /scannow" without the quotation marks

scoobies, you are the man.
i am an idiot. for some reason i didn't even pick up on the "YCOMP" in the error. Uninstalling Yahoo Companion is all I needed to do.
Thank you sir.

MYIE2 is now called MAXTHON. If you haven't updated your MYIE2, go upgrade to the lastest version of MAXTHON. I love this browser. I doubt that there is a faster browser with more options out there.
