Subject: Looking for a good RSS Reader/Publisher

I'm building a new web site, and on the front page I want to incorporate a "daily blurb/blog" feature. However, rather than simply typing each blurb directly into the HTML code (as I do for RotoGuru), I plan to use blogger.com (aka blogspot.com) to manage the blog posting and related RSS feeds. Then, on the front page of the new site, I will incorporate an RSS reader/publisher that will access the rss feed(s) and display all of the blog posts.
Can anyone suggest some good, cheap (free is nice, although I don't want embedded advertising) software that I can "plug in" to the web page code to handle this? It should probably be php based (rather than JavaScript), so that search engine crawlers can access the underlying blog items. And it should run on the server side, so that it's browser independent.
Any suggestions? Via google, I can see a multitude of options, but thought that perhaps someone has experience with one that might shortcut my research. |

I haven't used anything in PHP, but my 1st try would be to use either the official Blogger Data API or directly the Zend GData APIs.
