I keep having an issue with Windows where it continually shuts down after starting up and then restarts. It gives me all sort of colored screens, I had black a few times, a white one, earlier today had a green one. Each time it stays like that a bit, goes blank after a while tells me my resolution is set wrong (my screen not the computer), then restarts. So the last two days after used system restore to go back a few days before it started. Does anyone know if some new Internet Explorer or Windows update the last few days has made this stuff happen. I was trying to update my Vid card an hour ago and that's when it got the greenish screen. |

I just updated my vid card and now everything on my screen is super tiny. I tried adjusting my screen resolution to try and make things look better, but none of them take me back to how it was right before the update. Any clue what I need to change to go back to that?

What did you update? The driver?
One easy thing you can do is simply adjust your DPI----go into display properties, Advanced, General, and see where the DPI settings and adjustments are. You can try different settings. That works short term while you do other things or even long term if you feel like leaving it that way.
For the driver, if you go into the video card settings/properties (Dsplay properties) you can probably remove the driver. Then you can look to install a driver and use the old one off your Disc, Hard Drive, or the Web.

Nah it wasn't the McAfee issue. I've been having vid issues the last month or so. Haven't had any issues since I did my 7th system restore until yesterday. Now I completely freeze with an "oily" color pallet across whatever is on my screen. Didn't happen the 2nd part of yesterday, but this morning it just did again, and at the point I had to do a cold reboot the screen is back to the old size. Also everytime it happens I loose some of my saved internet passwords, no clue how that would tie into the problem.
